Not 1 inch.
This might be a decent hydraulic breather cap, but it’s not 1”. It’s approx 1.25” threads. I’m returning it and ordering the 3/4” threads.

Needed a Vent. It's a Vent
My new log splitter came with a fill plug/dipstick that required a wrench to check fluid level. Even worse, the vent was just a drilled hole thru the plug. No filtration means dirt and moisture would get sucked into the hydraulic tank when the fluid cools. This large vented cap could have been used as-is. It has the same threads as the original plug. The only problem with that is not having the dipstick handy. My solution was to weld the old plug/dipstick to the new vent cap. This provides a filtered vent and the fluid level can now be checked without tools.

Unfortunately I ordered this and it was the wrong size. The mistake was on my end.this was a very quality piece. Too bad a had to use a cheaper plastic version
