Good Buy well wort it
So far these are working great and offer a great selection. We color for fun and relaxation so it's nice to have reliable pens to work with. Also the color assortment is great. The price was fair and reasonable.

Feel icky, work great
I draw every day, and I wanted these pens because of the metallics and glitters - I've used my old sets up. First the bad - these pens do not feel good in your hands. They feel cheap and hard. I truly did not expect the ink to flow as nicely as they do because of the 'feel' of them. Talking about 'feel' might sound funny, but these feel like old Bic dinosaur pens. The good: great value, fun color selection. I've only drawn with them a week, and so far they flow nicely and have excellent color on paper. I've never tried a swirl pen before, and those 2 were disappointing as the first color is the majority in both pens, but no big deal. There are a lot of glitters and metallics, and a huge lot of colors. I don't know how long the pens will last, but so far, I'm pretty happy with them.

Well worth the money.
These and the other pen sets like them all seem to be from the same factory (I also own the smaller set of 108 colors from courise; http://amzn.to/2sSBwjn) but they are still really fun art instruments. Unlike pencils you don't shade with these. Having a large set of colors, each a little different, lets you transition pretty well. Ink pens like this don;t last a whole long time but the refills (http://amzn.to/2sP2mJk) are under $8 for 120 colors. The different grades of metallic colors really give an impressive effect on paper. By grades I mean that there seems to be coarse, medium, and fine glitter in the ink of most of the pens. the fine glitter is a buttery smooth metallic satin that is just gorgeous. I was really surprised that the glitter flowed so smoothly from he pens, even the coarse stuff that you can feel on the paper. There are 4 pens in the set that, artistically, are useless. Those are the swirls. the Swirl pens are filled with alternating colors. they only write in one color at a time so 'why?' becomes the question. give them to the kids to take to school.Another drawback I see, that seems to be from all sources, is a lack of dark yellows. I am updating this review to reflect this as I am currently trying to color some smeared motor oil which is an amber tone and there's not a pen in either set that looks right.

Will work for what I want, but not stellar
Pros - Lots of colors. Cheap price.Cons - Cheaply made (you get what you pay for), half of the caps fit tightly the others are loose. I understand that sometimes the cap and ink do not match, but at least should be close. There are several in this package that are totally wrong. For instance a cap and end cap show a pretty bright red, the ink is actually a dark burgundy, cap and end cap show pink, inside is dark purple/pinkish. I have included a picture of some of the worst examples. The nib of one pen where the metal piece screws onto the body was broken (like it was screwed on too tight and the plastic body broke.) There was no broken piece inside, so can't be glued back together. Another thing that should be said, some flow and feel really good when writing. Others feel draggy, so you have to write slower to get good coverage. Several of the pens would not work at all (none had the wax on the tip) but was remedied by tapping the tip on a stack of paper, some had to be tapped several times before the ink started flowing. My recommendation: if you plan to use these for just coloring, which is what I bought them for, they should be okay, but I would wait till it goes on sale lol.
