This item is cheaply made yet makes a good crispy quesadilla & that’s why I’m giving it 4 stars but 3 1/2 if I could.The first one I ordered arrived with a crack I the side but Amazon quickly replaced it (great service)!I think it’s a bit overpriced & preheats somewhat slowly however it does what it’s supposed to do.

Once we got the hang of this machine in the timing for cooking the quesadillas, it worked beautifully. It heats the quesadilla in no time 3 to 4 minutes is all you need. The only thing is the Preheat (red) light stayed on the whole time it never turned off. The Ready (green) light came on faintly, but went off during the cooking. The red Preheat light stayed on the whole time. We used the instructions for timing to make a delicious quesadilla.

Pros: It cooks well when working and isn't too difficult to clean. The wedges help with cutting into slicesCons: The size is too small in the sense that it does not work if you like to stuff you quesadilla. I'm not even talking about over stuffing, even a moderate amount seems to be too thick for the device to lock close. You can still use it, but it requires you to gently press on the top yourself. This itself is also an issue because it gets VERY HOT. I usually use a towel to help, but I can see this leading to an issue of people injuring themself or breaking the device.

Why did I wait so long to buy this? I bought the taco bowl machine & it makes perfect taco bowls out of four tortillas. My son loves taco bowls but I was stuck buying a grocery store brand that had horrible ingredients. Now I am able to buy a healthy, organic shell with no seed oils and they turn out great. I’m thrilled!
