Riptide and Renegade hasn't aged a bit and it's one of the best TV boxsets I own
This 80's TV show from the creator of cult TV such as The A-Team, The Rockford Files, Hardcastle & McCormick, 21 Jump Street, Riptide and Renegade hasn't aged a bit and it's one of the best TV boxsets I own. All 7 series (152 episodes) are included in the collection and it's perfect to dip into when there's nothing on any of the multi-channels we've got now. If you haven't got a Region 1 converted DVD player, get one so you can re-watch this classic cop series you grew up with.

Classic 80s cop show
There's little doubt that today's cop/crime shows are far, far better than anything that was made 3-4 decades ago--scripts, acting, production values, you name it. But nostalgia counts for something and there are a number of those old American series that remain fun to watch all these years later. I'm thinking of things like Magnum, Cagney and Lacey, Starsky and Hutch, Remington Steele. Add Hunter to that list, with ex-footballer Fred Dryer playing the laconic, hot-tempered, wise-ass LA Police detective who drives a beat-up sedan and never met a villain he didn't love to pound on. With his tough-cookie female sidekick, it makes for some nice chemistry. They're pals and colleagues, nothing more; happily, nothing romantic between them. Just a fun, fun show.
