SKROSS 1.302930 World Adapter MUV USB

I've used this on a trip round Sicily. It worked very well to charge phone and camera simultaneously by USB, could also plug in battery charger using 3 pin 'through' socket if necessary (if you wanted to take the camera and leave a battery to charge). I took a standard travel adapter as well, just in case, but found this didn't fit the socket in one place where the Skross did. I liked the way the pins are inside the body of the adapter when not in use, so you choose which set you need, less likely to be damaged or damage other items. There was no buzzing or other noise as mentioned in earlier reviews. Slightly larger than some standard adapters but not noticeably large or heavy, and well worth it for convenience. I would recommend this. NB not for use with hairdryers, kettles etc.

I regularly travel for work, so having a good adapter is important as it stops issues with packing the right adaptor.The adaptor is light weight, but feels well made, with the various plugs all sliding out, locking in place, and being returned in a smooth manner. The operation is simple, and there is a decent size to the plugs allowing you to get into a deep socket (as is often found in Europe) without any hassle.You can charge an AC plug, along with two usbs at the same time, meaning a laptop and two smaller devices like a phone or ipad will work very well. Handy for sitting in the airport or meetings. Or for charging both your own and your travel companions phones from a single socket.A small red light lets you know it is working, not too bright to be distracting, but a good indication that it is working.It has replaced all my other adapter plugs due to its versatility and convenience.

A little overpriced for what it is but works flawlessly. in addition has the USB ports which are a massive benefit.

Update: after 4 years one of the USB sockets has stopped working. The size and shape of the product also means it sometimes doesn't keep tightly plugged into the EU socket as it bends down due to gravity and looses power.----Was worried about this as thought the sliders were for setting voltage etc, but they instead are for cleverly sliding out different plug pins etc. Excellent quality and very useful as can charge phone and camera all at once on holiday. I use a lot now I'm back at home for all USB charging including helmet camera, bicycle lights, phone and camera. Not too bulky.

Great adapter. Works well, my only issue would be that for a future revision, country flags being printed above the relevant sliders. I've made my own just to save me having to faff around.Update: After 3 months of use (only 1 month worth of actual usage) it has now died and no longer works. I've no idea what caused it, as it was using the same Macbook that had been using it previously. There was no sound, no 'explosion', nothing to say it had broke beyond not charging anymore. I tried other outlets and nothing, tried different items, I also tried it in Europe (had previously seen exclusive use in USA) and still. It's completely dead, so what seemed like a great item for the first month (previously had a 5 star review) has since completely lost all of that. It was great while it lasted, but last it did not.

There were some unhappy reviews on here so I hesitated over buying this as in the past I've bought cheaper versions and this was more expensive. However, the cheaper versions always end up not properly fitting into the plug securely (so they hang out and your things don't get charged) or being really flimsy so I thought this was worth an investment.This is a sturdy model and it comes with 2 USB ports which is fantastic - so you can charge up to three things in one go. It can survive being jammed and squashed in a backpack. Red light goes on when charging so you know it's working (this is good but can be slightly annoying if you are sensitive to light when sleeping if it's nearby). I expect this will last me years and several trips and I regret spending my money on cheaper versions which have broken or not charged things as quickly. Just buy this one!

My parents had a similar travel adaptor and thought it was the perfect idea as often struggle with charging all my devices when abroad (always travel with iPad and iPhone).I bought earlier this year and have used in Europe and US and would definitely recommend to people.It has all the different adaptor connections with a slide of a button and very easy to change between the different connections. Only down side is that it doesn’t tell you which slider relates to which plug type (unless I’m being blind) so it takes a bit of trial or errorI also think this would be ideal for people going on a long travelling trip as compact but covers worldwide and means you can charge more than one device on one power point which are like gold dust in some hostels.
