Really inspirational and helpful read.
I purchased this book midway through my BA in Graphic Design as I wanted some fresh inspiration on Logo Design from a professional and use the skills and ideas taught in this book towards my own work. David’s book delivers great case studies and clear examples to really feed your brain and creative mind. The analysis and thinking from a professional is always highly inspiring and at the stage in my BA it was the perfect kick towards harnesses the work flow through the examples given in this great book.I used this thoroughly as a professional source throughout the start of my design career and wanted to recommend it to new designers, students, or people wanting just some great logo design advice.Pick it up! Enjoy!

Sublime
As an aspiring Graphic Designer I've been filling up my to read list at an exponential rate and have been reading them in a ad hoc fashion as I've needed. I started this and finished it in less than 2 days! As a fellow Northerner I was struck by the no nonsense but wholly invaluable advice in the book. This isn't so much a 'how to' guide as a 'why to' guide. It's incredibly easy to read and understand. This isn't your dry textbook or even a coffee table book. If you want to learn why you need to learn how to create a brand, a visual identity and how to work well with clients then this is your book. Essential reading for newbies and the more experienced!

Love this book.
It's a very good read. Aligns with how I liked to work, so it's great to pick up now again, just to reaffirm the process is in order. It's very well written too, with a ton of useful insights and case studies. The Q& A section is interesting too.Still amazes me the amount of ideas agencies show clients, and this guy certainly puts them in their place. Too right. This is well worth adding to your collection. Layout is spot on, the wording is carefully crafted and the sections are well informed.

Amazing read!
As a graphic design student hoping to become a graphic designer, this book is fantastic! It gives you the complete 'know how' in terms of designing a good, versatile yet simple logo and also talks about how to approach your client. and gives great examples of good logos which I found very inspiring! Some logo books in the past have been just pages of logos with not much information about it, which is visual but not helpful to understand why logos were constructed in that way and how to go about it, however this book is just what i needed - it talks through each individual logo given and the rationale behind it. I'd recommend any designer who is interested or wants to get into logo design to get this book, it was a great help for me! Also, delivery on this was fast so thank you!

Very Good - Worth it’s weight in gold
Insanely good - worth a read for all designers, both new and old. Well written, solid examples and a lot of callobarotive design voices from big agencies all over the world. The author should be proud of this piece of work - it’s provably one of the most useful books I’ve read in a long time.

Love this book!
Been hearing good things about this book and was very eager to get my hands on it. When it came, it had i bit of a slice on the back cover-- nothing severe as to damage the pages inside. I won't deduct a star for that because these things happen. I'm more grateful that there's anything to read at all lol. It's undoubtedly an enjoyable book. Easy to understand breakdowns of some brand identities as well as very crucial tips and guides, such as "mind mapping" for example, to take into account when designing a brand identity that increases the possibility of producing greater results that hit the mark. The book really helps narrow things down from the initial meeting with the client on throughout the design phase and delivery.Usually when you observe a brand's identity, i.e. their logo or trademark, at times it can be difficult to comprehend aside from the obvious fact that it represents something. This book is just one of many capable of changing that perspective with numerous sketches, as one example, that give a hint of what it can take for a mark to get from concept to final design. Some of the other books out there are more portfolios in my opinion and that's fine, but any design book that includes the process will always be more valuable :)

A beautifully presented demonstration and education.
I bought this book in a state of panicked "Creativity Clog".While successfully and happily learning the technicalities of the Adobe Creative Cloud apps as my retirement project (I'm 75 years old) I had been frustrated to discover that my right-brain creativity was ossified. Dead. As stubbornly non-being as a Monty Python parrot. I saw other peoples' creative work all around me, on walls, delivery trucks, subway station walls, everywhere, but panicked when trying to jump into being original and self-expressive myself. But wow! Sigh! Giggle! - this book has come to the rescue. In lovely print, gorgeous colour and clear explanation, it shows how a creative can apply intelligence and empathy to artistic passion and end up with a beautiful, and also functional and valuable, product.Thank you, Mr. David Airey, and all concerned in the making of this book, including even Her Majesty The Queen in her quick recognition and approval of the Royal Parks logo. (see page 10.)
