These headphones are great for several reasons
These headphones are great for several reasons.1. I'm no expert on sound, but I think they sound good. I had to adapt a bit from my previous headphones, because the Avantree Audition are over-ears, whereas my previous ones were on-ear. This means that the sound, especially the bass, is stronger with Avantree Audition headphones. They isolate pretty well too - even without music, ambient sounds are muffled, and with music even at a moderate volume, I generally can't hear anything else.2. The battery does really last a very long time, which is great because this is the main reason I went for them. I didn't really measure how long it lasts, but I've had them for over a month now, and I've recharged them twice. So, basically, you don't have to think about the battery - just leave them to charge overnight occasionally (depending on how often you use them, but, say, every couple of days, or once a week), and you'll never run out of battery while using them.3. I do have a quibble about the controls, but it's not just about Avantree. It's the general idea about having as few buttons as possible, which Avantree has followed. The volume control buttons also control moving backwards and forwards between songs and other things, the smart button controls a number of things (power on/off, bluetooth pairing, etc.). Some of it makes sense, and obviously you don't want a bunch of buttons, but I think just three buttons is too few. An additional button or two wouldn't have hurt, in my opinion - you can easily memorize where they are if you're using them while having the headphones on your head, and if you're using them while holding the headphones in your hands, then they can be marked with what they do. The way it is, you have to memorize 3 or 4 times more functions (if you're using them) than there are buttons, together with how long or how many times you should press which button. I think this reduces convenience.4. Connectivity is good, albeit there is the usual occasional dropping of the connection that goes with Bluetooth (although it really doesn't happen often at all). The NFC worked without any problems. However, be careful if you have the Intel Dual-Band Wireless AC 7260 card on Windows 7. I had the latest drivers, and these headphones produced a white noise (audible if the volume of what you're listening to is low). They did not produce it with any other device I tested them with, nor when I connected them with the cable, and they stopped producing it when I upgraded to Windows 10, so it's got to be the drivers for my card - i.e. it's not Avantree's fault. I'm not saying this will necessarily happen to you, even if you have Windows 7 with the same WiFi/Bluetooth card that I have, but just be aware that it could happen.5. I don't know if this is due to Avantree, or just the general way in which Bluetooth headphones with microphones work on Windows (I've only ever used these Bluetooth headphones), but when you pair them, they'll register as two devices: a) headphones (which output good quality sound), and b) a headset (which outputs low quality sound, but good enough for conversations). If you want to use the microphone, you have to choose the headset as your output device as well. If this is something that is up to Avantree, it would be far simpler to just have them register as one device which produces good quality sound and has a microphone.6. Not really sure what to say about the microphone. No one complained about anything when I used it for Skype conversations, so it seems to be working well.7. The design and build seem to be of good quality. They're comfortable and adjustable. The speakers (which have comfortable padding and very good sound isolation, as I mentioned) rotate on one axis to fit your ears. You can adjust the length of the headphones by sliding the speakers up and down, and once you've adjusted them to your liking, they stay in place, unlike some headphones where they will slide on their own. The earpads don't press hard against your ears, but they do stay firmly in place even when moving about the house and doing chores, for example. The part that goes over your head has some sort of fabric cover, which is sewn, not glued, so that promises longevity. Finally, they look nice with the red/black color combination. All in all, I think these are excellent headphones, and I highly recommend them. The quibbles I have about the controls are general quibbles, not specific to Avantree, the connectivity issue WAS a problem, but do to Intel, and how the headphones show up when paired is more of a nuisance than a problem, and may not be down to Avantree anyway. Everything else, that is, the things that matter the most (battery life, sound quality, comfort, etc.), is really great!

I just enjoy music and good sound
As an average Joe, I can't compare this product to lots of others but only to ones I had or try... I am not hi-fi freak nether music enthusiast... I just enjoy music and good sound... I don't like to buy expensive things because I don't want to give extra care to them. For that reason, I try to find good balance between price and quality...Last couple of weeks I was looking for new headphones, because my old ones start to progressively wear out... I went to electronic stores to look for new ones - Sennheiser, Sony, AKG, Beats, and so on... I could handle the price up to £100... But, as I said, I don't like to take extra care for things - I like them to serve me, not me to serve them...Since my daily commute contains walking and driving on bus, idea of wireless headphones start to sound tempting... I don't have to take my phone out to skip song or change the volume or pause the song, and there's no bloody cable to hook on things or to tangle around my bag...So, after some time browsing trough amazon's offers, this thing grabs my attention - they don't look too plastic, they don't look like they've been torn from head of giant cyborg and they don't look like big plastic ear-muffs... Just plain simple headphones with nice touch of details...So, for that price, and previous reviews, i didn't have much to consider but to buy them...And, to be honest, for this price I didn't expect much, but I was wrong...Build - it's hard to see over pictures, but build quality is damn good. No plastic feeling. Surface of shells is covered with rubbery coating. No squeaking, no cracking when being twist...Sound - well, I didn't expect miracles, but sound is pretty good. Sound is really clear and crisp. But, everything depends on type of music you prefer.. Base is deep enough, maybe a bit shallow. Mid range sounds are pretty good, and high sounds a bit to high (especially when volume is on maximum), so, if you have bunch of s***ty mp3's with low bitrate, you will definitely feel it. On my phone I keep same music for months, so when I'm listening that music on car stereo oh hi-fi I know how it's supposed to sound like, and on this headphones I can't find nothing bad.To be honest, go on YouTube, find "Gramatik" or "JazzMatazz" and listen... I found that music pretty enjoyable on this headphones. For punk-rock, industrial metal and similar music with lots of noise, well, that clarity of high sounds can be a bit irritating...Usability - with NFC (on my G4) it works like a charm, also on my laptop. Play/pause and skip works on both. But microphone, well, I don't find usable. Since it's not near my mouth, it's pretty useless. Maybe in quiet surroundings, but in street, really no use. Anyway, when on streets, I like to speak on phone so I don't look like one of those crazy people talking with themselves (or bluetooth headset).Even if you have big fingers, you can easily feel control buttons and they give proper feedback that you click them. Maybe you need to push a bit harder than you are comfortable...Big plus is that they are really comfortable after even couple of hours using it. I have a big head, and they fit really good, and big cushions are really canceling lots of noise, so there's no need to turn the volume to max even in loud environment.Only real issue, if it is, is the size. They are maybe too big to fit comfortably around your neck, so, you need a beg to put them in.Battery lifetime is not 40hrs. Maybe on lowest volume, but, in average, i use them for 1-2 hours daily and charge them once per week, and, it's not such a big deal. They charge in 3-4 hrs.So, overall, very good product for this money...Sorry for bad english, it's not my native...

Started so well.. Then..
When I first got these, I was blown away. The sound quality was fantastic. I listen to a lot of bass orientated music and these did the job well..Now I haven't used these for a while because I treated myself to another pair from a different brand..My son is visiting for the holidays and asked if he could use them for is PS5. So I fully charged them and they just won't turn on. I only got them at the end of June last year.So for that reason, I give them 1 star and I wouldn't recommend these unless you need them short term until you get something better..**Update**After charging them accidentally for 3 days, they are now working again.. So they now go up to 4* rating from me unless this issue happens again
