Good solenoids, poor manifold and assembly
I use a lot of AirTac solenoids in my workshop, and have no problem with them at all. The manifold and assembly on this unit however... not so great. None of the fittings are even finger tight when installed. There is no thread sealant on them, so everything leaks like a sieve. The threads in the ends of the manifold are so bad, that the centre plug would not seal no matter how many rolls of thread tape I used on it - I ended up plugging it with a 1/4-NPT fitting just so the threads would jam shut (note: it's a 1/4-BSPP thread, or something approximating it).Finally, one of the 6mm push to fit connections was damaged inside, so leaked and required replacing.Overall, a bit of a let down as it does look nice, and AirTac solenoids have never let me down before.
