Long story short, at the very least if your lower back twinges, a disc feels like it's slipping , pop this on, even on short term use / like an hour or so it can help ease pain and discomfort if you spend a lot of time in a office chair with less than perfect lumbar support. from this is assume this will also work for more severe conditions.i'm not a fat dude but i have a bit of a belly and it squeezes my guts which causes some 'discomfort' nudge nudge wink wink, so probs not advisable to use on a full stomach/ when bloated, you might think why not loosen it ? well if the belt is loose then it defeats the whole idea of supporting your back.seems high quality, the metal bars seem thick enough to prevent bending, and help with positioning, velcro pads are quite large and strong.
