Will it work on plus size knee?

I have rather large knees and even though I cannot get both straps to wrap around my knees, one strap holds the massager on enough to be able to use it and get the benefits.

Does the masssger use air compression or is it vibration?

Air? It vibrates and has laser and also infared & Heat, don't see how it would work on any type of air since an air compressor is not hooked up to it, lol
