Q: Would this be suitable for 7 year old (going on 17 lol!) ? Is this set animal cruelty free and are there any nasty chemicals in it?

I can only tell you that I bought it for my Niece, also 7 going on 17!!!! She's been using everything available in it, it's probably nearly finished with & it was just her birthday end of September lol! It hasn't had a bad effect on her skin or anything like that.

Q: I have received the item and one of the blushers is smashed. how do i get a replacement asap as it is a gift?

Yep this washes off very easily depending how much is applied. Not sure about home furnishings, cushions etc but wipes off clean from a chest of drawers and flat surfaces.
