Q: does this help with biting my tongue? been having issues doing that lately and it wakes me up.

I would have to say yes, since your teeth are in the rubber mouthpiece and can't get to your tongue. This is very comfortable. Not too big and made very sturdy. I don't even notice it in my mouth and it doesn't obstruct your breathing even a little. Works great.
