We have had our Jaques croquet set since the 1970’s (was my parents now my family’s). It has stood the test of time. We re-painted the balls and the stake once but otherwise it has been used every summer for as long as I can remember. Sadly one of the mallets gave way when my 16 year old son leant in it too heavily. This is simply a replacement and I am delighted it’s not too expensive! There is a difference in quality but then I think there are levels of quality and we have gone for the least expensive so....

Very disappointing, Jacques used to be known for high quality however this mallet arrived with the head loose and broke after only the second use! Do not recommend…

I bought this to replace one that gave up the ghost in my 30 year old Jaques croquet set. Thank goodness they maintain style and quality. An excellent purchase.

The wooden head of the mallet is not hard enough to withstand much use. A very basic mallet for casual use only.

This is the second mallet that I have purchased to replace a broken mallet from an original set which must be 25 years old. Very good product delivered promptly as quoted. Will be back should another replacement be required!

I've had my vintage Jacques croquet set for ages, and it's time for some much-needed updating. The new mallet I purchased as a replacement has impressed me greatly. It has a well-balanced weight and feels sturdy in hand, making it perfect for family games in the garden. There's a noticeable difference in the craftsmanship compared to the older pieces, but given that this one comes at a reasonable price, it’s still excellent value for money.Additionally, my son, who's just picking up the sport, finds it quite easy and comfortable to handle. We've had some fantastic summer evenings bonding over croquet, and this mallet has certainly added to the fun. The only drawback is a minor cosmetic blemish, which appears to be a repair from a previous ding. Despite this, it performs perfectly, providing the right balance of power and accuracy. All in all, a solid purchase for our family’s endless croquet matches.

Really nice simple but lovely quality mallet to replace my vintage Jacques mallet , so now I am back to 4
