Boy's if you need to replace your old worn out dripping silcock this is the one you want. Once you get this unit in your hand it will remind you of the younger days when you had a good quality product. She feels good, works right , and once installed and turned on will get the job done. The hole through the house is one inch. The installation was easy and straight forward.

My Grandmother's outside faucet started dripping and it got to the point where she couldn't completely turn the water off so we had to replace the entire hose bib. When I went in to her crawl space she had nothing but solid copper pipes. She had a gas line about 3 feet from the water line and while I don't doubt my solder skills I didn't exactly want to use a small hand torch anywhere in that general area or really just in the crawl space. I cut the copper pipe and deburred it then used a sharkbite fitting to connect this to a pex pipe then bought this sharkbite hosebib to connect to the pex. Would have taken me maybe 15 minutes to solder the copper pipes and connection but instead this took me 5 seconds to connect. I really like the sharkbite product and so far on any project I've used it on it's held. My 90 year old Nan can now turn her water on and off with ease and do what makes her happy which is watering her plants.

i ordered the 10" size and received a 12" silcock in a mislabeled plastic bag. luckily i was able to move pipe to accomodate. otherwise worked great. so much easier than sweating or gluing joints

Very easy to install. Good product for the price

I replaced 20 year old valve - an easy task for everyone. No more leaks, no ugly hoses under my sink. I added extra face plate to cover hole in the brick wall - the original installer drilled that hole too large.
