Q: How do I connect the generator to my narrowboats battery bank?

I presume your battery bank is 12v? If so, use the 12v 8a socket on the front of the generator. Hope that helps.

Q: Does it run on e10 unleaded?

I checked a few sites that said these can run happily run on a variety of octane levels and I do use E10 with my one (same model) without any problems.

Q: Is this normally supplied with a grounding wire/ spike? Ours arrived without one - it's going to be a pain finding one today.

No problem, went to local electrical wholesalers and bought spike and clamp for under a tenner and made my own with a length of flex I had lying around.
