Perfect replacement
Put in batteries, and every button works as expected. My last remote I replaced I had to 'scroll' through codes until I found the right one. The size and shape of the remote is almost exact as are the button locations.

I have a 65 inch TV and although the numbers did not match because it was larger it still work perfectly! I had lost the remote and my husband was giving me crap about it for a while LOL I ordered this without him knowing and it worked right out of the box with no programming needed! I was so tickled! Works, but not the same Hitachi remote
I've needed to replace the remote to our Hitachi television twice since we bought the television almost 8 years ago. This most recent time, I remembered that I bought the previous remote off of Amazon, so I went back to that order and purchased the same remote, as it seemed to work longer than the original remote worked. The remote I received appeared to be the same, but it's different. While it works with the TV, the cover to the battery is extremely loose and will not stay in place. I've resorted to tape to keep the cover in place. When I compared it to the other remote, the cover is different. Instead of a cover that slides into place over the end of the remote, it's a small cover that you have to press the tab to open it. It's the tab part that doesn't stay secure and causes the cover to fall off. It's a small thing, but very annoying when the batteries fall out and you don't realize it.

Honestly Impressed took a shot and it worked
took a few seconds to pick it up just was pressing random buttons but it started working with in about 15 seconds! excellent value for money and glad i was able to find a replacement was tired of being stuck on the same volume lol
