Wondering if it will support a child’s weight? I want to use it in my kindergarten classroom

It definitedly will support a child's weight. My granddaughter is a freshman in college and she steps on it every night to get into her dorm bed which is over 3 feet high to accommodate storage. It also holds 2 sets of sheets so add'l storage is great.

What is the dimension including the lid?

It gives that information right on the site. It's not that big but I got for my little dog to help her jump up onto the couch
