Q: Can you inject a solid - like garlic cloves?

Hi there Antet,Yes you can provided you use the open-ended needle. I have successfully injected a garlic, red wine and rosemary marinade into a roast lamb more than once, however as Jonathan correctly mentioned the needles can get clogged with thicker ingredients if they're not chopped finely enough. This is what happened the first time I tried garlic but it worked fine after I minced it finer. I normally use a mortar and pestle. The same applies for other solid ingredients such as onion.It's easy to tell when it's fine enough by whether or not you can push the pieces into the end of the open-ended needle.I hope this helps, let me know if you need any further assistance.Regards,GregPremiala Customer Support

Q: Can you inject dry rub mixed in a liquid with this injector?

I haven't tried this approach yet so I don't know for sure. I wouldn't try it with the smallest injection needle. I think dry rub work perfectly well with the larger needle as long a your mix is not to thick so there is plenty of lubricant. Also, if the larger needle got plugged up you could use 12 or 14 gauge electrical wire (stripped) and clean out the needle after disconnecting it from the barrel. Hope this helps. Tom
