Are these screw backs?

No they are not screw backs, but they stay on really well. 6 year old wears them.

Are they hypoallergenic?

They are not ... it took 2-3 days but my daughter's ears eventually started reacting and we had to remove them

Not that I’m aware. My great grand daughter has been wearing them daily since Christmas & zero problems

If you mean hypoallergenic, than they do not claim it on the web site. We have had no trouble with them.
