Introducing the 7600W model of SolarEdge's cool new inverter product line . . . the SE7600H-US with SolarEdge's HD Wave technology! If you're a solar PV newcomer, than a brief intro to SolarEdge inverter is due! SolarEdge split 2 core functions of a typical solar inverter into 2 devices. MPPT (maximum power point tracking) and voltage management happen at the individual panel level with SolarEdge's DC optimizer. But the inversion of DC to AC happens centrally at the inverter itself (in this case the SE7600H-US). The result is a very efficient, well-designed, very popular alternative to typical string inverters and microinverters. So what's new in the new HD-Wave line up? SolarEdge re-designed its inversion processing by using "distributed switching and powerful DSP processing." The result is a clean pure sine wave without the heavy processing and cooling elements. This makes for a dramatically lighter box to hang--smaller and 50% lighter at 25 pounds. This makes the SolarEdge HD-Wave inverters easier and faster to install as well! asWinner of the 2016 Intersolar award, SolarEdge also announced that its HD-Wave inverters became the first inverters that the California Energy Commission (CEC) awarded with a 99% weighted efficiency rating! The SolarEdge HD-Wave inverters (including the SE87600H-US) provide 25 years of free power production monitoring, a 12 year standard warranty and enables 155% DC/AC oversizing!

Good Value, good Inverter.
Unfortunately UPS lost the first one, I ordered another one and it came in a few days. This model had the built in WiFi and Zigbee Chip, but did not come with the required antenna, luckily I just used the antenna off the old one. This one also came with optional cellular chip and antenna. Installation instructions are online. Mine was easy to install since it was a direct replacement. Beware that Solaredge will may or may not provide support, depends on which county support center you end up with. They will claim only a certified installer can commission this inverter, but that is a lie. I did however hire a certified installer since he updated all my information with Solaredge (takes a few days for them to update the information on the Solaredge monitoring platform). Warranty length is questionable, after receiving this inverter and noting the serial number, I checked with Solaredge to verify it was new and not an RMA ( inverter that was sent out to replace a failed inverter under warranty), it was new. After checking the Solaredge website with the inverter serial number, the warranty showed an expiration date of January 2029. Normally warranty is 12 years, but the warranty begins on the day of commissioning or four months after Solaredge ships the inverter. Since this seller is not an official Solaredge supplier and this model is an older version from 2016 or 2017, the warranty ends sooner than 12 years. All that being said, this is a great value considering a new inverter would cost close to $3,000. This model is more reliable than earlier models with the LCD screen.

Get a SMA inverter
Do not expect to get any help from solar edge with setting up the inverter. You are on your own. Recommend SMA inverters a lot more help published on the internet than you would get from solar edge. I like the solar edge product been buying them for years their service used to be great, not now. When I was chatting with customer support he told me he was not going to help me, wrong answer.

Buyer Beware
This product was originally advertised as new. It wasn't until we paid for it that the seller contacted us and admitted it was used. After assuring it was in good condition, we went forward with the purchase at a discount - but once received, found it didn't work. After calling the manufacturer, we found that the product was supposed to be returned to them as defective since it was replaced by the prior owner and thus wouldn't be supported by solar edge and essentially was useless.

Updated SolarEdge 7600H doing great
Originally bought 2 of the previous version in 2017, which were widely known to fail from capacitor issues. Solar Edge replaced under warranty with this newer version in 2020 and 2023. These were simple to install by local (non solar) electrician, and Solar Edge support was impressive.Once we connected the device to our network (with Zigbee) they essentially took over and configured the device, and loaded it to our solar edge dashboard on the web. It preserved all our previous solar data so it was seamless. These updated inverters have been flawless and reliable since installation.

technical assistance is the worst
can I give negative stars. Solar Edges online help center in the worse. you have to wait staring at your computer for hours until a automated grunt will even respond. If I had my choice to go with another inverter I would definitely chose a more user friendly system. especially since solar edge is not helpful.

Junk! They work till they don’t!
NOTE: I’m told there is no repair depot in the US! Hence, a supply-chain delay. I offered to sign a NDA (like Stormy did) and set up a repair depot to repair the inverters, was declined. I have all the necessary test equipment, and was a NASA Certified Solderer, and senior level electronics engineer. And also an engineer for Southern California Edison. Also, a 60+ year ham radio operator .PRESENT DAY: This was just installed in January, 2024! Waited 3+ months for it, without any solar power . The service tech says it won’t reset, and must be replaced! So, possibly June, July and August without any solar power to offset our AC electric bill! Over $800 last time, plus the lease. And we are desert! If you have the technical expertise to design and install your own, do it! We had to accept this lease to purchase this home. We’ve dealt with 3 or 4 subcontractors and only one knew what he was doing! One tech told me it was working fine and putting out 13 kiloWatts! Amazing, coming from a 5 kW system!

Solar edge inverters are crap
My inverter lasted for five years. It was the model that has the display screen. It’s costing me $750 just to have the installation company come down and read the code which I already read. Solaredge will only accept a licensed installer to read the code at, the inverter site. Now it’s gonna cost me an extra $500 because the warranty for the repair service is good for five years and I am at five years and two months. Avoid this company at all cost. There should be a class action suit. The installer said there is a 40% fill rate at least on the earlier inverters from 2019. Knowing what I know now I would only use a local company with a 45 minute drive and I would avoid solar edge if at all possible.
