Learning to cook with Steel
Useful all round pan with lid. But I am having to change how I cook things. The manufacturer provides guidance on how to cook with stainless steel.

Versatile and excellent quality.
Superb utility. Great quality. Versatile. Can be used as a wok, a braiser, a skillet, or a soup pot. A great choice for the person who wants a minimum of equipment.

THE Weeknight Fry Pan
Large Weeknight Fry Pan. This is one of my favorite pans in the bunch. Rounded tall walls with a sizable flat surface bottom. I am a family of 4, with growing kids (high school). I put together big meals and this pan can handle it. I even like using it for the smaller meals just because of the tall walls it has. I hand wash for cleanup and its a breeze. Even after some cooked on tid bits, I use the soft scrubbing sponge, then go to a little Bar keepers friend soft (liquid) cleaner with a fresh rag. Still looks new like I got it yesterday. All-clad web site has some videos on proper maintenance. Overall I see the pan to be a great work horse for our family size.

Worth it
This pan is built to be your daily driver on the stovetop. On my gas range, it heats fast when I put the spurs to it—my usual starting point. Then I ease the heat down, add some (olive) oil, and it’s ready to cook in nonstick mode. The 4-quart size is just right for stir-fry, pasta for four, or braising with the lid in the oven. The curved sides make whisking a breeze, whether it’s a simple sauce or a creamy béchamel (think sausage gravy for biscuits). Forget the imported dupes—this All-Clad is worth it. Reliable, versatile, and built to last.

Great pan, easy ordering
Great pan and MUCH better return policy compared to ordering direct from All Clad's website (don't get me started on their terrible customer service).

Too large, too heavy for less-than-2-people meals
It's also very easy for the food to stick on the bottom. But I think it's a common issue with the stainless steel pans. Other than that, it's of very good quality.

Works great as supossed to
Perfect great price seemed ‘like new’ and have loved using it metal cover can be useful I’d also suggest getting a splatter screen but it’s deep so needs one less. My chemist connection explained to me ‘stainless steel’ doesn’t exactly mean that ane could use various products to clean it but a little discoloration is normal. It didn’t take much to clean even (my fault) burned on food coated spots, for example. And the picture color isn’t perfectly accurate (photo makes it look worse off color) it does have streaks similar to streaks on glass that I could have buffed up more. LOVE this amazingly useful and satisfying-to-use panDownsides?Cost: but I love this se-seller mine appears new (like new?) at a great price! It’s a little heavy. This isn’t a fault just a factor. It’s big and layered steel (the middle aluminum layer helps distribute heat evenly and why it’s called a ‘clad’ pan…’all clad’ looks like invented this or coined the term at minimum!).If totally full it will be heavy I’d hot mitt and use the opposing handle too (which it has). Two hands on the strong arm handle is possible but awkward even if only small stuff in it. It’s…what it is. If it was lighter …. It wouldn’t have the same materials that work great and size.I like the style of the all metal lid classic and have used it but some like plexiglass I mentioned on any case a splatter screen (check diameter) always good to have again I’m good!!If it was smaller it would be lighter and easier to handle but then I couldn’t confidently make a huge pan/pot of spaghetti sauce from ground beef to all other ingredients one pan/pot (this one) nearly full no problem. COULD have emptied and boiled pasta in it too but did use separate pot for that ;-)One pan to rule them all!
