'Put One Foot in Front of the Other' and get this book!!!!
Over the years, watching classic Christmas programs that I grew up with, has become a Christmas tradition in itself. Nobody did it better than Rankin/Bass!!! Rick Goldschmidt's 20th Anniversary Edition of "The Enchanted World of Rankin/Bass" is bigger and better than ever and pays tribute to these memorable Rankin/Bass specials. Not only are all the Holiday Classics (that we know and love so well) are covered in this massive 400+ page volume, but also their non-holiday work as well including, The Smokey Bear Show, Kid Power, The Jackson 5ive, and one of my very favorites, King Kong.....including a complete King Kong episode guide. This work is jam packed with photos, illustrations, trivia, behind the scenes stories, and anything else imaginable about Rankin/Bass. A job well done by Rick Goldschmidt (who is the official Biographer for Rankin/Bass and probably knows more about Rankin/Bass than anyone walking on the planet) and should be part of the library of all TV, animation, and pop culture enthusiasts. So 'Put One Foot in Front of the Other' and get this wonderful book and prepare to relive and enjoy countless childhood memories!!!!

There IS a way to order this book, even though Amazon will not be carrying it!
I originally placed an order for this book through Amazon, and a month later I received an email from Amazon stating that they will not be offering it. Panicking, I frantically searched the web for another vendor, starting with B&N, but no luck there either. But wait - what was this? Miserbros.com, the actual site of the book? Yes!! I was able to order the book there (and, rumor has it, no one else will be carrying it) and it's more than I had hoped for! I can't say enough good things about this thoroughly researched and detailed book and the care that obviously went into it. There are plenty of wonderful pictures, as well (not only from the productions, but also behind-the-scenes, marketing, and merchandising, to name a few), which bring my childhood rushing back. I HIGHLY recommend owning this book.

and while wonderful, the 20th Edition surpassed all of my expectations
I recently purchased the 20th Anniversary Edition of the Enchanted World of Rankin/Bass as a Christmas gift to myself. What a spectacular artifact for Rankin/Bass fans! I've previously purchased the 2nd Edition of this book, and while wonderful, the 20th Edition surpassed all of my expectations. From the handsome book-packaging to the illustrious images of old and new treasures, you're invited to relive this whimsical universe through the guidance of the most renowned historian of Rankin/Bass productions, Rick Goldschmidt. It's a large edition with 400+ pages while not feeling overwhelming with information. I love being able to spend time on a particular production, or read through a series or special in chronological order by production while gaining new facts about some of my favorite childhood specials of all time. This was one of the most satisfying purchases I've ever made. I look forward to enjoying cozy evenings with this book - reliving joyful memories in this wondrous world!

The Definitive Work on Rankin Bass
I grew up watching the Rankin Bass holiday specials and they are still a big part of my television viewing during the season. This wonderful book gives the history of each special as well as tons of information on everything Rankin Bass. Whether you are the casual fan or you love R/B as much as I do, you will enjoy learning about how these shows came to be. You'll go behind the scenes to meet the creators and the talented people who made them happen. Fascinating text, tons of great photos; I am proud to have this book in my personal library.

A beautiful book. This edition of Rick Goldschmidt's book (published by Miser Bros. Press) is worth owning. Interesting background about the making of some of the best stories ever to be captured on film. I particularly enjoyed the story of how James Cagney was coaxed into doing "The Ballad of Smokey the Bear." This book covers all of Rankin/Bass' productions, not just the Holiday shows we all know and has many great pictures to help bring back the memories. A great book to have out on the coffee table during the holidays or anytime of year.

I recently purchased the 20th Anniversary book, and it is nothing short of amazing. This is the book to have if you grew up with the holiday classics like my self. It is packed with tons of photos and info on all your favorites from your childhood. I would also recommend the other Rankin&Bass books by Rick Goldschmidt, which I also have, The Enchanted world, Rankin&Bass scrapbook and Mad Monster party.
