Sturdy, Nice Quality Desk for a Home Office
I am moving into a new house and needed to provide work space for my computers. I do photo editing, blogging, and run a home weather station with a dedicated PC server. I needed a large, functional work space and wanted to keep the cost down. I had considered the classic DIY butcher block countertop on file cabinets approach. This line of furniture turned out to be less expensive, more attractive, and more suited to the purpose. The relatively low cost of this line made me skeptical, but the reviews, for the most part, were favorable. I went ahead and purchased this desk and also a Series A 48W Corner Desk. Now that I have it put together, I am very pleased with this purchase.Instead of the corner desk desk, I now wish I had purchased two these instead. You can see my review of the corner desk for the details and my recommendations. Basically, two of these desks would have provided more usable space at a lower cost. This desk was very easy for one person to put together. After assembly, it becomes an attractive, sturdy piece of furniture. The slate gray/white spectrum colors are sleek and high tech looking. The cable management is a nice touch eliminating a lot of wires dangling in the back. The unit arrive undamaged and in good order.I felt the matching file/drawer cabinets for this line were overpriced. Instead I added a Hirsh Industries 20" Deep Box-Box-File Mobile Pedestal in Charcoal to provide drawer and file space. I like it so much, I plan to purchase one more.I would definitely recommend this desk for a home office or computer room, but avoid the corner desk.

48 inch desk
This is a nice desk but a little overpriced. I didn't pay attention to the pictures before I bought this. I was only looking at the different colors for the top. This has gray sides and back panel. At this price they should have provided the same color panels all the way around. It is extremely heavy. That is good because it makes for a very sturdy desk. Once assembled it is rock solid. The assembly was pretty straight forward. I really don't like particle board furniture with camlock fasteners but real wood is way too expensive. The underside of the top is predrilled for the universal keyboard which I reviewed separately. I didn't bother installing the cheap plastic cord channel. Don't really see the point of this unless you have a bunch of these desks connected together. It arrives in a box that weighs around 70 lbs. It has the messiest packing I have ever seen with any product. Every panel was covered in styrofoam beads and dust. By the time I was done unboxing this I had to vacuum the floor. The top was in good condition with no damage except an extremely minor indentation along the front edge. The gray side and rear panels were another story. Every one of them had areas where the paint was scratched. Not very noticeable once assembled. One thing I really liked was the plastic plugs to cover the holes where the camlock fasteners sit. All other furniture I have bought gives you a sheet of stickers to put over the holes. These plugs push into place and are removable and reusable. All in all a nice desk with a 10 year warranty.

Nice desk
I have owned other Bush Business furniture but needed a smaller computer desk. Although the material is particle board, it is stable when assembled. The instructions are straightforward. I'd recommend not over tightening. I also do not put the cam covers on because invariably, I have the need in the future to disassemble the pieces to move it. The cord organizer is cheap but gets the job done. I like the cord ports in the top and the sides of the desk. My desk came with the top surface damaged in the corner. The styrofoam they use is really low quality. In fact, get out your vacuum cleaner because you'll need to vacuum up the tiny bits of styrofoam that falls everywhere. I gave the Bush Business customer service line a call and got a replacement top the following week. Top notch. Overall, recommended!

The sturdiest flat pack desk you've ever seen.
This is the third Series A desk I've purchased. I have the 4ft corner desk and the 6 foot version of this desk. I've had the corner desk for about 10 years now and the 6 ft desk for 2. They have both been taken apart and moved many times. I bought this desk to take around with me as I work in a city for a month or two and then go to the next job site. I realize that a folding card table would have been lighter and more practical, but you can't beat the sturdiness of this desk and it comes apart into 4 pieces and goes back together in about a minute. I have a triple monitor mount with 3x24" monitors on it and the desk doesn't flex from the weight in the slightest.

Poor manufacturer QA to actually prepare the parts to properly work together.
I normally don't write reviews, let alone negative ones, let alone one star reviews. The holes that were drilled into the parts are NOWHERE NEAR LONG enough and deep enough for the screws to fit in. Specifically, the screws that are put into the "feet" to connect with the legs. After reading half a dozen other reviews stating such, I realized this is a regular problem. Either the manufacturer has missed this problem for years or knows and hasn't cared to fix the problem. Literally just DRILL THE HOLES DEEP ENOUGH FOR THE SCREWS PROVIDED. Otherwise the customer will have to do it themselves, and/or struggle with putting in the 3 inch screws into a 2 inch hole for far too long. A terrible oversight and I'll most likely buy a different desk from a different company that probably has up to date and modern QA for their parts.100% would not recommend purchasing unless you're absolutely prepared to put in elbow grease and energy that other products and manufacturers probably won't force you to do.
