LOVE this wax!
Very happy with this wax! Used it to put a clear protective finish on my "salvaged pine" Restoration Hardware dining table based on the reccomedation of the company to specifically use this wax. I applied it with a "chalk painters oval wax brush" (also from Amazon - see my other reviews) and it went on great. It has very strong fumes, similar to an oil based primer or a polyurethane, but they disappated quickly. At first when it dried, after about 24-72 hours, it still had a very waxy candle-like feel and I wasn't extremely happy with that (posted pictures are from 1 day after I finished waxing it). However, after about 2 or 3 weeks it really cured and the waxy feel is almost not noticeable. I actually really like it now. It gives a nice hard matte finish to the table.I used about 3/4 of the can for a 72" X 33" table, including the fairly intricate table base.I haven't experienced it turning white in crevases or when it gets wet whatsoever, and we eat dinner with our 2 year old daughter every night on the table. In fact, she spilled water all over the table last night and it just beaded up and wiped off with zero problems. I will definitely be using this wax for other furniture projects in the future.

worked great on my unfinished wood table
I am super happy with this product. I stripped and sanded my parents old Queen Anne dining room table. I wanted to leave the wood as natural as possible so waxing or oiling were the options I looked at. I ordered three products to try and sampled them on a small piece of unfinished oak that I had. They were Briwax, Mahoneys wax finish, and Howards butcher block conditioner. The Briwax dried faster and left a beautiful smooth finish and was super easy to apply. The only negative is that it does smell pretty strong. The other two products had no offending smell but took longer to dry and were a bit oily to the touch. It would have taken a few days with drying in between coats for the Mahoney's and possible the Howard's . With the Briwax I put on three coats and polished the table all within a few hours. Very natural looking and super smooth

The Perfect Wax to Preserve and Refresh Teak or Any High-End Furniture.
This stuff works great! We've been using it for over a decade. The coloring and shine - if & when applied correctly - is eye catching! There is that heavy & strong chemical smell that you can't do anything about because nothing else works this good. Trust us we've tried them all. This is what professional furniture designers use all across the globe. But stop reading buy it for yourself. You will find we are right on the spot about it.Almost forgot. The price is painful. I mean why does it have to be so high? It didn't always cost this much. But if you are the best then throwing it under "life cycle cost" is worth it in the end. But I don't have to like it.

Good wax dries quickly works well
Finding tinted waxes was not easy--at least for me. Briwax has the variation I needed. Be aware the wax dries quickly. Don't expect to apply it to a large area and then rub it out before it dries. They clearly state that the wax will liquefy at warm temperatures. It will. I store mine in the refrigerator when I plan to use in in the next days. They also state that the plastic cap is only for shipping. I would recommend continuing to use the plastic cap over the metal cap to keep a good seal. Metal lids sometime seems to creep open. This is not something to use in the manner you might use Johnson's paste wax or glade. I use it for restoring a finish i.e. bring the worn aged finish back to a reasonable aged finish. following the basic steps of cleaning the surface before applying wax.

A classic (and easy to use) finish
This product has been around virtually unchanged since 1860. I've used every color they make and have finished / refinished everything from cedar tables to walnut cabinets. This is a fantastic product that is easy to use, versatile and gets the job done quickly. Granted, it takes a bit of "elbow grease" with the finish being buffed to a shine rather than how other products are brushed on and allow to dry. If you're expecting a deep gloss finish like polyurethanes offer this is *not* what you want. This is a deep penetrating wax/stain that leaves a classic top coat wood finish. With a little effort, you should find this to be an excellent product that has weathered the test of time with customers all over the world.

Great for antique pine furniture
I love how this makes our antique pine furniture look. I also hate applying it the way they recommend. I learned a different way from an antique pine furniture seller-restorer. Warm it up so it is a liquid and apply with a paintbrush. It goes on fast and penetrates deep, leaving a nice coat of wax. To warm the wax I leave it in the sun, or put it in warm water. Let it dry for an hour then polish it up. It may be hard to rub your microfiber cloth at first but it quickly smooths out and then polishes up to a great shine and color. You throw the paintbrush away afterward, or maybe try to save it for the next wax job. You use more wax with this method, but the application goes a lot faster with a lot less effort.

Fantastic results!
This product totally transformed my pallet wood coffee table! I purchased my coffee table over a year ago, it was unfinished pallet wood and I used it for over a year and never treated it. I started falling out of love with it because it was rough to the touch, looked dry and dirty. I discovered Briwax while looking for products to restore it. I read the reviews and decided to buy it. It was quick and easy to use and my table is now soft to the touch, has a little bit of a sheen and looks cleaner too! I love my coffee table again! This product is quick and easy to use but follow instructions and use in a well ventilated area! I highly recommend this product!
