Yummy, Crispy-Crunchy Oyster Crackers — Reminds Me Of the Way Saltine Used to Be When I Was a Kid!
I first got these 365 by Whole Foods Market Oyster Crackers about a month or so ago (in April 2023) to liven up/add a bit of variety to the liquid & soft food diet I was on after having 4 teeth (the 2 back-most teeth on either side of my upper jaw) extracted because the 2 back-most teeth (the molars?) had gotten broken leaving a tiny shard of tooth on the upper right & left sides in the back of my mouth — and the adjoining tooth right next to the broken ones were too damaged to be repaired or even salvaged. So in total, I had to have 4 teeth (the broken molar and the tooth next to it on both sides of my upper jaw) taken out.For the first few days after the extraction, I pretty much stuck with liquids (like protein shakes, juices, smoothies, etc.) then after a few days, began adding in more & more soft foods like mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs & soft omelets, soups with ingredients not requiring much if any chewing (like egg drop soup) and other stuff like that.Nevertheless, by the time it was just a week and a couple days after the extraction, I was starting to get really sick of just having liquids/soft foods — and yet because the dentist had prescribed/advised a soft foods diet for a full 2 weeks minimum following the procedure, I was afraid to resume a regular diet and risk either stalling (or aggravating) the healing at the site of the extractions, or worse potentially breaking more teeth.Which is where these 365 by Whole Foods Market Oyster Crackers came in.After I'd transitioned to soft foods like mashed potatoes and soup, these oyster crackers were a Godsend, providing a bit of variety and crunch (which I deliberately ate very gently, one at a time, with my front teeth and initially even soaked it a little in the soup before doing so!) to my diet until my gums healed from the extraction and I could gradually start adding more & more foods back as it became easier to chew...........now, almost 2 months since the extraction, I'm pretty much eating normally again, though I'm still avoiding certain hard foods (like popcorn) to be on the safe side. But I still LOVE these oyster crackers. In my honest opinion, they are absolutely delicious, with the perfect amount of crisp/crunch, and not too hard (which enabled me to eat it before the end of the 2nd week after my dental extractions) and not too soft (as most saltine crackers unfortunately tend to be these days!)These 365 by Whole Foods Market Oyster Crackers remind me exactly of how much BETTER saltine crackers USED to taste back when I was a kid in the 1980s, before they started putting all kinds of crap ingredients into it — now, even the organic saltine crackers don't taste the same/as good anymore. But these oyster crackers are literally like stepping into a time travel machine from the moment I put it in my mouth and bite down.YUMMY and DELICIOUS!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Often Underbaked
Previously rather good, 365 oyster crackers have been tragically underbaked for the past half year or so. They used to usually be baked "just right" and also properly puffy, but now seem to be underbaked -- and, possibility insufficiently leavened, although perhaps they just seem this way due to under baking. Currently, whether as a snack food or as a soup enhancer, these have been inconsistent, only worthy of one to three stars -- lighter in color than as shown on their box and much, much more solidly dense than other oyster crackers, and well as less "cronchy" than others. They used to be one of the best, if not the best, oyster crackers available... and are now (at most) "meh".
