A RARE FIND IN A FLOODED MARKET!
The incense burner I received arrived in a timely fashion and well-packed. Simply stated, this is a wonderfully carved and high quality home accessory. Brass or brass-plated hinges set are cleanly installed permiting a firm and smooth action with good alignment(box does not slam shut unintentionally) with top and bottom sections well-fitted making this a virtually seamless box: well above the quality of similarly sold burners at this price point. The smaller, more compact design is perfect for those with limited space such as a narrow bathroom shelf. Soapstone has nice rose-color with good variation. In a perfect word adding small brass inset cups to facilitate burning cones would make this an even better product, but these are normally found in coffin burners made of wood. There is no place for storing sticks but this is what permits the compact design. Ventilation is limited to the top of lid resulting in a longer lasting, slower burning stick. Perfect for keeping those high quality, potent imported incense sticks from overwhelming the user (not those horrendous supermarket or chain drugstore brands).Inside you'll find a small hole at one end neatly drilled to install each stick and the added bonus of a soapstone support close by to permit a full burn and avoid premature extinguishment. This latter addition is missing on many similar types of soapstone-based coffin incense burners.I would love to see this product in naturally darker soapstone collections such as black or deep red but since this is an "untampered", naturally resourced material this would be determined more by availability and geography than simple selection.AX~

Two Stars
Great quality feel, but incense is always extinguished after like 5 minutes.

Very pretty and seems durable enough so far. The only problem I have is when I am burning the stick of insense, it sits too low and touches the bottom of the burner which makes it go out. The shelf that holds up the stick needs to be a bit higher, but I put some rolled up electrical tape on the shelf to still be able to use it.

LOVELY
Well made and very lovely. Why I gave 4 stars is the cheesy stick holder inside. It works but could have been done differently. Oh by the way I ran across this very burner (same make and lable) at my local Walmart for 5 dollars.

Wonderful Incense Burner
This burner is great. It is sturdy and handles the thin incense sticks well. It holds ashes easily and can be emptiedquickly. Since it is make of stone, it is very safe as far as fire hazards are concerned. This product is tops for burningincense as far as I can tell.

Perfect incense box
Love love love this. I was tired of cleaning incense ashes everywhere. This keeps them in the box, it is super sturdy and heavy weight, well made. The smoke is nicely dispensed and looks beautiful coming up out of the coffin top. Some don't like how it burns the inside of the coffin lid and leaves a residue, I don't care because it is inside, it don't see it, and it has to burn off somewhere. I empty after every other use. The incense stick stay in the hole until the end too, perfect!

Love this burner!
Like most anyone who burns a lot of incense, you try out a lot of burners. I love this one. Sturdy, compact. Stick inserts in a tiny hole and rests across a support in the floor of the burner. Being made from stone you don't have to be concerned that with the lid closed you are going to set the box on fire like with wooden burners. Not having storage for sticks is not an issue for me, so will give this the tops in ratings. The free "Temple Incense" sticks were an outstanding bonus. Nice way to try a new fragrance without committing the $$$$. Turns out I love this new scent and will be buying it as well.Update: After burning many, many sticks of incense, I have to recommend that you do not close the lid while they are burning. There is way too much residue that collects on the marble making the lid stick to the bottom and it can be a real struggle to get it open.
