Star Wars Deluxe General Grievous Costume, Medium

I bought this for my 7 year old son. He loves it and it fits just as the sizes indicate. It seems to be made pretty well as he played with it before and after Halloween-it's still holding up! It was nice to have a good selection of costumes on line and lower process than the Halloween stores near my house.

Good quality and detail! Only bad thing about it is my son was getting poked in the eyes by the red around the eyes in the mask. Nothing scissors couldn't fix.

About the look : it is what it is, surely not suitable for cosplay but right for a young kid to wear at Carnaval (I'm from Belgium).About the prize : I must said it's maybe a little expensive for what it is, made in China but you have to pay the LucasArt "franchise" don't you ?About the size : medium is intended for 8-10 years old kids but after reading some reviews here I decided to buy this size for my (nearly) 6 years old son. The idea was he'd be able to wear it over a pull-over and some denim pants (Carnaval happens during winter here), as a result : it fits perfectly under these conditions but my son is pretty tall.About the kids' opinion : my son was delighted about it and got a lot of compliments at the Carnaval feast at school. All his friends were impressed.My final word : if I have to choose I'd buy it again, finally it was a cheap way to see happiness in my son's eyes.

This item arrived for my 4 yr old son and he was so excited. I, on the other hand, was mad. The body part of the costume was just ok. The face mask is large, folded in half, heavy and definitely not made for a 4 yr old to wear. Halloween is right around the corner and we are frustrated. I contacted the Rubies company and they asked for an item number haven't heard back yet. He can't wear it so it's a lose. There was one at Toys r Us that had a lighter, more manageable face mask for a child but why should I have to pay another $30.

The body suit is like most "action character" costumes, but the mask is very disappointing and looks nothing like the picture in that it is VERY flimsy and not at all symmetrical. We tried to fold it in half and put it under a few heavy books to make the crease straight and to have the long side portions look even when being worn, but nothing is working. The side pieces are not even glued on the same way - it looks very cheap and the person who put it together apparently does not care what it looks like. Furthermore, it doesn't look "machine-like" - it looks more like the freakish "oozing flesh" or "old man" Halloween masks that you see year-to-year.My son is almost seven and is fairly tall - his 4-6 costumes from last year do not fit properly as he is too tall, but the Medium 8-10 is too large. We'll have to make-do unless we find another costume, but I do wonder why there is such a jump between children's sizes for this costume. 4-6 and 8-10 is a huge gap ...All-in-all, my son is disappointed but still willing to wear the costume as it is the ONLY General Grievous costume that we've been able to find. How upsetting that I spent $50 only to see the excitement turn to disappointment on my son's face.I do not recommend this costume for your little Star Wars fan.The electronic General Grievous mask is much whiter than the bone colored portions of this costume, but my son may be wearing that instead along with carrying his G.G. light sabers. However, if I'm just going to switch out the masks anyway, I might as well have made or purchased a cape and otherwise dressed him in gray or black. If we hadn't thrown away the packaging (we received the costume on trash day) it would definitely be going back.

It was a little big for my son, but he liked it anyway.

Keeds love the custom. It fits nicely. Price was great.
