Design Toscano Art Deco Peacock Maidens Sculptural Table Lamp, 20 Inch, Bronze and Pearl Finish,PD331

I was so looking forward to this lamp. I had a special place picked out for it. So I was terribly disappointed when it came! It looks NOTHING like the picture. The gowns on the ladies are dark golden, not white. The feathers also are not white, but a dark bronze color. The lamp shade is plastic. I've had things offered by Toscano before and loved them; even if they were a bit pricey, they were worth the cost. This is not.On the positive side, the detailing is very nicely done, and when lighted the illumination is soft and warm. But with the darkness of the gowns, when lighted you can't see the detailing as well as you would if they were white as shown in the picture.

This is a nice Art Deco Design and lamp had the lamp itself not been made out of a resin or plastic.. For this price you would think and i did, that it was made from or would be made of frosted GLASS.... WHAT A HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT. I PURCHASED 2 OF THESE. 1 FOR MY MOTHER FOR HER CHRISTMAS GIFT. I will keep them for the design but not for the quality. Borderline on returning them to be honest. Be ware because it is very misleading on this part of the item. I have went to School In Los Angeles at FIDM for Design and worked in the field long time also worked in Pacific Design Center where i know what i am talking about. They say it is a copy of the originals in their bio page. I am sure they never used plastic for the glass lamp. lol

I ordered two of these, one for the top of each bookshelf next to the fireplace mantel. I received one lamp today. The one that arrived today was in perfect condition & well packed. It looks beautiful in the photos but I was afraid it would be tacky in person. It is actually elegant. I used a 5 watt frosted nightlight bulb and a timer so it will come on every evening at 7pm. You can use up to 25 watts but our TV sits on the mantel, and these are purely for accent, so we preferred a lower light. I’m sure it would make a pretty functional table top lamp too. It has a on & off switch, but we don’t like any cords showing so the extension cord & timer work well for this. I can’t wait for the other one to arrive so we can complete the look. I highly recommend these if you have original vintage decor and wish to use safer updated lighting. They blend nicely in the room.

We love Art Deco and Art nouveau style. This lamp is gorgeous. It looks expensive accept for the colorful lines that look drawn onto the head feathers. I say that like its a bad thing, but we actually like that pop of color touch. I'm very happy with the level of brightness of the light and sturdiness as well. Price was fluctuating quite a bit over the last year so I feel lucky that I got it when it was at its lowest cost.

I love the Roaring 20's feel of this gorgeous lamp. It is very sturdy and it stands out when it is lit up (or even when it is off). It obviously looks prettiest when it is all lit up, and I bought those flickering candle style bulbs to put in it (LED) and they really give it a soft light that makes the little rhinestones on the ladies' dresses sparkle.It was a wonderful purchase.

I really love the lamp and I didn't find the faux jewels bad looking it does't give off reading light, just ambiance lighting and it works well to bring the femininity back into a masculine environment yes sitting next to a Masters Chair...

Lovely "illuminated statue"/dimly lit lamp. Looks really nice in our art deco-style, San Francisco dining room. I will say these statues are not terribly carefully finished/uniform. I had to buy 4 and return 2 to get a proper pair (one was damaged, and one had very different finish from another). Still they are very cool looking and unique.

It's really quite stunning. Very nice workmanship. Made in China. The only thing to be aware of is that it's not tiny. It's a full 20 inches tall. That surprised me a little. But it's a beauty. I tried a 25 watt bulb in it and it seemed too much light. The light became the focus instead of the statues. Made it hard to see them. Went with a 1.5 watt LED instead which amounts to a 10 or 15 watt incandescent bulb.

Great light, the globe works well with a LED chandelier bulb. The girls are dressed in pale gray with a blue crystal detail on the dresses for a feminine look. On off switch on the brown cord. Exactly what I was looking for and completes my room perfectly.

Beautifully crafted, only thing is the light bulb doesn’t seem to fit in the socket. Can the seller or customer please advise what kind of socket to use (a picture would be helpful). Thank youNo response and nowNow the glass cover on top does not fit, can the seller please get back -I'm stuck and for what I paid I shouldn't be stuck .After all this time it still doesn't light I'll use it as a door stopper, I am no requesting a refund but no 25w light Bulb fits ------will contact a supervisor at amazon, this is totally unacceptable.

Extremely well made, has a good weight to it and absolutely not cheap looking at all. Very well packed and I received the lamp in less than 2 weeks, with no added charges from Canada Customs. The price I paid to Amazon is the final price, no extra fees from Canada Customs. I inspected the whole lamp and no flaws at all were found.

This Art Deco piece was a Christmas Gift for my daughter and her family..They were blown away by it and absolutly love it!!...What caught me off guard was her very traditional sister's reaction..She said..and I quote.."Its Stunning !!!"

Love it, Hercule Poirot would be found of my purchase, very Art Déco..
