Feather-light, cheap outdoor bag
I took this bag cycling on a 72km circuit around Heathrow Airport, and found it surprisingly good for it's £8 price tag (dependent on colour). It's remarkably comfortable despite the lack of back supports (which it partially owes it's 180-200g weight to), seemed to hold several kilos of cargo without issue and is made quite well. The backpack folds into itself (into it's own inside pocket, interestingly) and is very collapsible/compactable which I think is really good for long-range transport. The waterproofing I haven't had a proper chance to test yet, although I did note sweat seems to accumulate on the outer side due to it's nylon-like material. Holds 2 bottles, or alternatively in my case a bottle of water and my Anker SoundCore Mini3 speaker in the other.Overall this Gonex bag (sometimes more commonly known as the brand Hikpro : Gonex's version is much cheaper despite being the same bag) is really impressive for it's dirt-cheap price tag. If your demands aren't excessively high (i.e. you're going cycling or hiking Snowdon, not trekking Siberia or climbing Mt Everest) then I think this is an *excellent* bag to add to your collection for a very low cost. It has held up well so far and I hope it lasts a long time - although the construction is (purposely) thin, light and "industrial", it seems durable enough that I would trust it for a more remote trip into some low-medium mountain trips.10/10 recommendation for me so far, and will probably be one of my main bags beside my Fjallraven Kanken (which wins on aesthetics - and is also quite lightweight).UPDATE 26/03/21::: Taken on a 20km ride in heavy rain! The fabric itself got pretty "damp" where rain touched it, but the contents seem to have remained dry without any issue. So it doesn't keep itself dry, but it seems to keep what's inside dry. If you plan to take this somewhere you know will have heavy rain, I **would** suggest maybe adding a very cheap rain cover or just putting anything critical in a ziplock/waterproof sorting bag to err on the side of caution. It does perform really well for it's price though!

Super lightweight, well designed, rugged.
This backpack is nowhere near as weak and flimsy as you might expect. It packs away into a ridiculously small pouch, but since I don't like it creased I choose to leave it unfolded and full of stuff. And by golly it can hold a lot of stuff! In it at the moment are my Gopro and accessories kit (which is a large case full of many useful accessories), my gimbal in its case, two lighting units, three tripods, a DSLR camera in its case, a box of lenses, various loose camera items, a waterproof housing, a spare t-shirt in case I get sweaty while filming, my wallet, my house keys and car keys, and a letter from my doctor advising any police officers who may wish to arrest me for filming illegally that I'm a nice person with special needs. And there is still plenty of room for more stuff. There are spacious webbing pouches on each side of the pack, which I use for mini tripods and selfie-sticks, a zipped pocket on front (useful for documents, passports etc) and a hidden zipped pocket/pouch on the inside that also adds to the rainproofing as it drapes across the top of the pack between the outer zips and the contents within. The shoulder straps are unsupported and floppy, so if you're an awkward shape like me you may find it a struggle to get the second one on once the first is over your shoulder, but though flimsy they are very strong. There is also a useful loop at the top that you can use for hanging the pack when not in use, or carrying it by hand if so desired. This is also very strong, and I confidently leave my pack hanging on a coat hook at home, fully loaded, with no fear of it breaking.Overall, it is an attractive, modest yet spacious, rugged and dependable backpack, and there is no downside to owning it. For the money, it is a bargain. Recommended.

Fantastic Packable Backpack
I bought this bag for a trip to Cambodia and Vietnam (2 months) and it was definitely up to the challenge. The bag was big enough for everything I wanted to take with me on a day trip. For Angkor Wat I took:My mirrorless camera (not quite DSLR bit, but not a small camera). My GoPro and selfie stick.A BIG bottle of water.A pashmina to cover my shoulders.Oreos.+ normal stuff (keys, wallet, phone etc)AND there was still space. It was a little uncomfortable at times and I had to re-arrange it but mostly it was fine. I did not bother with a padded insert as I was trying to travel light.I did not use the side pockets for my water bottle, they would have fallen out. Instead I used it for tissues etc.The bag is pretty waterproof - tested during a short downpour in Cambodia. The bag does fold back into the pouch (which turns inside out to become a little zip pocket inside the main bag) easily. For what this is meant to do - it is a brilliant bag and I would 100% recommend it if you want a packable backpack.I did end up throwing mine away at the end of the 2 months as I found that I used it whenever I got any mode of transport so that my main back could go in whatever storage was available and I could use a smaller bag. I changed it for a bag that does not fold but was more sturdy. If I had more room I would have kept it rather than thrown it away as it would have definitely been useful for the future.Overall: I would buy this again and use it (I wish I hadn't had to throw mine) again as it is brilliant - but have a good think about when you will use it - as it may be that you would only use it in situations where you might as well have a normal bag.
