The best boots I have ever owned. As a full time wildlife ranger who spends his days in woodlands where there are no footpaths, and crossing streams etc all day, every day, pushing through brash, bushes and the like (my work involves trapping and shooting of invasive species) the average "hunting" or hiking boot is simply not up to it for me and boots I've tried with good online reviews (obviously used by most people just at weekends etc) literally fall apart on me or start leaking within a few days. These boots however have lasted me over 2 years of this sort of treatment, and are completely waterproof in the proper sense of the word - you can stand in a river with these as if they were wellies! In fact the only reason I'm looking for a new pair is that I have quite literally worn the insides out. Note that - the outsides have stood up to stuff even beyond what my old army boots ever did by a long way and with use quite often 7 days a week. Fantastic. Expensive? No actually, as my feet are warm and dry all year round and these have taken a quite unbelievable hammering every single day. At a rough calculation based on my daily mileage, these have stood up to (roughly) 7300 miles of off path really rough treatment. That's pretty impressive! If like me you really rely on a boot beyond what weekend climbers and walkers need, then I recommend this without any hesitation.
