Aleene's 15626 No-Sew Temporary Fabric Glue ,Multicolor,4 oz

Have used the wash out glue for almost 20 years on my sewing projects-it always works great! Fast delivery when I needed it.

I purchased this glue because it was Water soluble. It is thick and didn't run. I put the glue on the jean seam, pinned or clamped and left it to dry for an hour because that worked for me. I would NOT have been able to repair the jeans as nicely as I did without the Aleen's 15626 No-Sew Temporary glue.

This is no fault of the company just take note that this is temporary. I made the mistake of thinking I had purchased permanent only to discover all the polka dots on my daughters costume fell off in the wash. It worked great for sticking until wash though.

I have been using No Sew for years for temporary seams or just a simple fix for lampshade trim.

Not as easy to use as I had hoped - instructions involve multiple layers of glue and wiping off excess with a damp cloth. It seems like a lot of bother for a temporary bond that won't hold up after washing. I wanted to use it to stick down the corners of badges that had lifted on my daughter's Girl Scouts Vest, but the glue is hard to apply tidily, running out from under the edges, and it was the edges I really needed held down so I couldn't just apply it further into the middle. It was not easy to wipe off the excess with a damp cloth, as instructed, without the water soaking through the fabric into the area I wanted to glue, and making the glue not work.

My mom would LOVE if I sewed, but... I don't have the patience for it. After 14 years of parenting and 5 kids later, I decided to finally make my first DIY Halloween costume. I successfully used this product to make the shirt for Pebbles Flintstone for my toddler. And, I had to make it twice since the first was too small (my mistake). This glue handles well, and does it's job. It has held up to the tip being put on and taken off my kid over 2 dozen times so far. The glue also held on the too small one when we were yanking and wiggling it off her head. We will keep this in our craft closet for future projects.

This glue was great! I had a dress that was too low cut but sewing it closed at the bust left gathers and markings that I did not want from and center, if you know what I mean! Before using Aleene's No-Sew Fabric Glue I was using a clothes pin which would show and sometime leave gaps, this glue was the perfect fix! I turned my dress inside out, applied a line of glue and within about 30 mins I was out the door, no safety pins in my striped dress! This is going to make quick hems and alterations easier than ever! So easy to use and dries quick, 5 stars all the way!

Used it to hem some of my dress pants, and it left stains on the fabric that did not come off even in the wash ......the glue lost it's properties in the wash and fabric came apart, but the stains remained, had to throw one lighter pair of pants away.
