Excellent value, build quality and image.
I bought this Annker C800 and a C500 at the same time, I’ve had a few different Chinese IP cameras over the years and I’d say the C800 is one of the best I’ve seen, especially for the price:- Incredible picture quality - 4k@15fps, then higher FPS for lower resolutions, decent night vision too.- Very wide field of view with minimal fish eye effect- Cleaver, tool free method of positioning the camera... far better then fiddly grub screws.- Premium build quality.- Plug-in free WebUI. HTML/CSS for the menus and HTML5 for the browser steam with no need to install any dubious Active X/browser plug-in’s.- Supports H265 compression, but not H265+ (With Annke firmware).Im using this with Xeoma in a Linux VM, however this camera supports RTSP (again, same URL string as Hikvision) so should work fine with pretty much any NVR.As others have pointed out this is very similar to the Hikvision DS-2CD2085FWD-I, so much so that I’m willing to bet that’s why the firmware upgrade button is hidden in the Web interface 😜With the Hikvision firmware the main improvement I noticed is you have the option to enable H265+ encoding plus a few other options such as the ability to enable SSH and a few basic ONVIF settings, unless you have a specific use case for H265+ (or you’re a geek) the shipped Annke firmware is perfectly fine for most people.Tl;dr - if you’re looking for a good value, crisp 4k stream with H265 support, excellent night vision, excellent build quality, decent Web interface this is the one I recommend.

Superb home security camera
Bought 2 of these for the front and back of a property. They have a great field of view and can cover the whole front and back areas of the house. The night vision on them works well. The camera has ample settings for you to configure, and I've had no issues getting it to work on the XProtect NVR software.Depending on your setup you might also wish to buy the camera juntion box, this will allow you to conceal the extra cabling.

Annke C800 Turret - Very Compact and Good looking Camera
First impressions of this camera were based on its appearance and well thought out design of the mounting bracket with a single point of adjust. Just simply unlock the large plastic nut by hand and adjust the camera position and lock the nut , that is it you are done. The camera in my opinion is very compact for a bullet type design, which I liked. The web login screen and configuration is a clone of Hikvision and I found the camera was detected by the Hikvision NVR as plug and play and did not require to be manually added. Just needed to modify the cameras IP address to match the range on the NVR being used. The picture quality during the day was good and clear when looking at stationary objects. However the live footage and recorded footage was not so good at night, possibly due to it being a 4K camera with only a maximum of12fps. This resulted in moving objects at night being very blurry and lots of ghosting was present. I tried to reduce this the best I could by change the settings and trying different resolutions etc. It would not identify peoples faces at night let alone pick up number plates of a moving car.Unfortunately I found one of the cameras weakness and let downs was its poor night footage and very low Frames Per Second at 4k (8mp) was 12fps, resulting in motion blur. When I purchased it the description did say it had a zoom lens, which I contacted the seller about and they corrected this error. This would probably suit a situation with no moving objects and only day time footage is required, if you want more then maybe considered something else. There does not appear to be any new or old firmware available for it and I got the impression its not readily available even you asked for it, so you could be stuck on the same firmware for the life of the camera. I feel its a little over priced for its offerings.

good camera, lots of features. customer service was excellent
mine developed a fault very shortly after installation. the Annke team were very good once they heard about it, despatching a new unit that has worked flawlessly since being installed. One star removed for the time and energy needed (and the ladders!) but can't fault the product or the company.... Thanks to Maggie!

Very professional camera, a vast improvement from the cheap domestic options.
Very professional unit. Password security required before anything. Usable immediately then, but with many settings available to tweak whatever bits you want to. Very very satisfied.I wanted to use this with ONVIF, which must be enabled. (Configuration - Network Settings - Advanced Settings - Integration protocol tab). After that I could use it with PC software. I use Netcam Studio, I found it the most useful after trying about 6 programs. A few wouldn't pick up my other domestic camera, a couple had long image lag)I found the default video to be slightly blurry, when really I wanted sharp stills for security pictures. There are of course image settings for this (configuration - Image - common/day/night). there are iris (shutter speed) settings from 1/3 of a second to 1/10000 and even 1/100000. I have no clue how well these might work with a lot of light, for my uses a nice 1/500 was perfect for recognising faces at 50 feet. This setting was no good with auto-switch night cam as it just became black. I set it to 'scheduled-switch' and that allowed me to put separate image and exposure settings for day and night. It will mean me going back every month or so to adjust the dawn/dusk times, but this is a small effort for such strong day/night controls. I set my night iris to 1/25, this gives me fairly sharp faces without compromising the image too much. Noise controls helped here too.Overall, a superb, very adjustable camera. No wifi, doesn't come with a PSU or net cable, which suited me fine as I wanted it to replace a failed camera that I already had ethernet cable directly for. I will soon replace all my cameras with these.Update: Just bought another from Annke, version I91BL. Setting scheduled switching day/night for variable iris, is now six optional modes. There is a month by month scheduler to select when you want each mode to be active, max 4 per day. More complex but more flexible.
