Good Ruger Single Six rail
I used this rail on my ruger single six. You must remove the back sight by tapping out a small steel pin and then remove the screw that holds down the sight. This rail attaches with only a single screw. There is a small hex head screw you can adjust to level the rail. I cut my rail so it did not hang over the barrel. I never plan on attaching a scope, so I did not need the extra length. The rail took about 30 minutes to cut, install, and level. Make sure to use some thread lock goo since you have only one attachment point. My rail has held zero just fine after 200 rounds. It is high quality, accurately machined, solid aluminum.

Well made mount, but not great for conventional glass scope
Well made base, however even with the nylon tipped screw properly tightened there is vibration through the mount and scope after every shot. I squirted hot glue under the front of the mount to fill the gap between the mount and barrel. The glue got ride of the vibration and was easy to remove when I uninstalled the Weigand base. I recommend this base for reflex type "Red Dot" sights only, not scopes.

It turns out this system is impossible to mount correctly on a Ruger Super Redhawk 44 Mag I ended up sending 4 scopes ...
Bought this mount two years ago -it was cheaper than buying Ruger's rings. It turns out this system is impossible to mount correctly on a Ruger Super Redhawk 44 Mag I ended up sending 4 scopes back to Bushnell because I blamed the scope instead of blaming the mount. Finally I did what I should of done in the first place and b ought Ruger rings-Presto no more issues.

Nice try from a great company but no cigar on this one.
After years of buying Weigand products this one has finally let me down. It only uses one point to connect it to the frame and uses another screw to provide a sort of back pressure while floating on the frame. The end result is a lack of side to side stability and a mount that tends to ride higher than level. This was an attempt to create a non-gunsmithing solution that in my opinion just isn't ideal.

Scope Mount Fits Blackhawk Revolver * with a little work *
Just received the Weigand Ruger Single Six Revolver Scope Mount. My intent was to mount this on an Old Version (1971) Ruger Blackhawk revolver -- and I did, BUT...This scope mount was designed for the Single Six (as the description states) and not the Blackhawk. However, if you wish to mount it to a Blackhawk, you can, with a little bit of work.Your new best friends will be:1) A small screwdriver to remove the original rear sight screw.2) A heavy duty set of pliers to remove the rear sight (for me, it was as if it were welded on).3) A small file. (Why, you may ask.) Because the mount has 2 little protrusions that obviously fit into detents in the Single Six upper frame. The Blackhawk upper frame is smooth, so these protrusions on the underside of the mount need to be filed off.4) A rubber mallet. This is to make sure the mount fits the upper frame very tightly. (You may have to tap the rear of the mount a few times so the screw hole lines up properly.)5) Your own Allen wrenches for the rear and set screws for the mount. (1 Star deduction for this omission.)6) A level indicator to make sure the mount is straight after installation.I'm going to mount a Sightmark Reflex Sight to the Blackhawk 357/38 Special. I can already hear the naysayers about scoping a handgun. But guess what? It's what I want to do -- so there. Many of my family members and friends don't like to shoot this handgun in its original state, so I'm adding a bit of a fun factor. The last thing to do is to field test the sight and mount, especially with the 357 bullets. This thing is a small cannon when the 357s come blasting out of the barrel.

Holds steady under fire.
Exactly what I needed, fits well, holds steady under fire.

I'd buy it again...
Had to file down a couple of protrusions on the inside of the mount to get it to fit.... Had to shim up scope before I could sight it in..... Once all this was done it's worked well....
