I bought this for my hammock chair but it isn’t exactly what I needed. However I kept it because it wasn’t expensive and I’ll find a use for it. It is sturdy and solid.

The clip performs very well in our hanging hammock chair. It spins easily and the clip that retains the rope is very strong and doesn't open accidentally.

I use this to hang a hay bag in a horse stall. I have bought two of these so far. The first one lasted for ~8 months before the small pin holding the snap to the clip broke. The second I have had since June (it's now December) and it's holding up well with an aggressive hay eater. The clip is heavy-duty, handles abuse well, and is strong enough to stay closed with a curious horse and not cause injury
