One mounted outside in yard still has the original batteries- and goes almost all night on low, with high kicking on when motion activated. One used for camping still good- goes all night.+++6 year updated review+++Original purchase 2015. As of 23oct21, all of the lights purchased are still working and going strong. No led failures. Battery last almost through night, so a little less power from batteries, but its been 6 years, working 24/7/365. Other unit still being used for camping.. still works great and saves on white gas.. this is the only light needed to light up our sites.Still a recommended buy!********* UPDATED REVIEW Updated Review July 2018 - Original Purchase was 2015 ******************This is my 3 year updateLight has been mounted outside 24/7/365 since it was purchased. The light still works like the day it was received. This unit has been through rain, snow, ice, hurricanes, as well as 90+degree weather at 70% humidity- in an unprotected area. I live in New England Area- USA.Purchased more of these lights- all still working like new. Summer time- light goes from sunset to sunrise on low power- with occasional High power when motion is detected. Winter time- light stays on until around 5:00 AM- so it is getting almost 12 hours of steady burning on low power, with minimal charge time.I still highly recommend these lights- you will not be disappointed.*************************************************************To date I have bought three G580X units for a total of 8 months (bought may 2015)Used the first one purchased on a camp trip to Mt. Katahdin/Baxter State Park in Maine, Used it to save on fuel for nighttime lighting. Unit work great - throws out A LOT of light - so much so at full setting (when motion activated) that I had to remove the motion detector- ran it at its lowest setting. This light runs ALL NIGHT at low power - and throws off a decent amount of light - motion detection is terrific, and throws out a blinding amount of light for a solar spotlight!I was so impressed, I bought 2 more - and now use them on my home, where I had no electrical runs. Spotlight lights up side of home without issue.My neighbor was impressed and now own one also!Now that it is December in the Northeast - the unit does not receive as much light to charge - but still runs incredibly long (almost 10 hours on low power) despite it not fully charged. I may move the unit a bit, so it can receive more sunlight.Quality is great - way better than I expected. I highly recommend the unit !

Received this light with tangled wires and signs of being used. The motion detector seemed very cheap and looked like it had already been in the sun for about a year. It did not come with instructions and it was literally thrown in a box. There was a sticker on the the box that said inspected by Amazon. Complaints aside, the light and the solar panel seemed very high quality so I decided to go ahead and install it. After two days in full sunshine, the light failed to work. I tried all 3 settings and no light. I tested at dawn and full darkness and no light. I gave it another day of full sunlight and tested again. No light. I decided to return it and go with a different brand. I hope you receive one that works.

Excellent. I would have given it 5 stars but for the fact that it has no aesthetic appeal. I recognize that it is primarily utilitarian and not designed to be artistic but a little effort toward style would make this a great product. As I'm writing this, I realize how difficult it would be to incorporate some stylish covers or other design attributes. I'm not an product designer or artist so I defer to their judgment on this.

Casing and build quality of this solar lights looks very good, but I never could get the light to work. All the connections were secure and the indicator light on the back was illuminated, but the solar light would not turn on even when it was pitch black outside and I jumped up and down in front of the sensor. I tried all three settings and no light. The summer days have been bright and sunny so there should have been no problem with it charging.I guess I got a defective product. I returned it, and will look for a different brand.

The image of the article gives a picture of what it really is, because it is very small. I do not feel completely satisfied. expected moreBesides that if the day is half escuro eager to rain, the battery does not charge anything

I don't do reviews often. However I had to go back and give this item a big thumbs up. I have had this solar light for almost 2 years now. It is not pretty but boy is it durable. I am about to order another because I just got a bigger yard. It has been through terrible weather even a recent ice storm and with ICE on the panel it still works! We literally had about 5 inches of snow on top of about a quarter inch of ice and it is still working perfectly after I cleaned off the snow and let it sit all day in the sunlight.

I am working on a project to light an outdoor equestrian arena with solar led lights. After testing numerous lights, this one appears to be the winner. The ability to mount the motion sensor separate from the light and solar panel makes a huge difference. I can place the solar panel and light high and the motion sensor at the level where activity is taking place. Competing products with the motion sensor incorporated into the light are not sensitive enough to stay in the bright mode for the purposes of my project.**Update** I've bought four of these lights and am getting ready to buy another two. These are by far the best I have found. The motion sensor being separate from the light and solar panel plus the three light modes makes this light very versatile.

How irritating to receive a product with the words 'WIRE DEFECT' clearly written on the box only to assemble the item to find THERE IS A WIRE DEFECT. What kind of company sends out a product that has a known defect? What a pity since the few time it showered stuttering light, it was impressively bright. Sending it back now.
