Great value
This is not a powerhouse. In fact, it's probably the least amount of bang you're going to get out of an Android at any size, but that's exactly what you are paying for. I found one on sale and got a great deal. If you can find one for $85 or less, you are getting a bargain. Pick up a 32 GB micro SD for around $15 or so and you have a very capable little tablet that makes a great reader that will fit in the pocket of carpenter jeans.Yeah, I said "reader". I wanted something for Google Books and I couldn't beat the price. You aren't going to be gaming on this rig and even web surfing takes patience. It's great for ebooks, tapping out an email, or light web browsing, but anything that requires speed or processing power is simply going to be beyond this tablet. Now, I can hear you saying, "But he gave it 5 stars..." And, yeah, you're right. I picked the "I love it" option, and I do. I love my little tablet. It's comfortable in my hands with the matching Moko case MoKo ASUS ZenPad C 7.0 Z170C Case - Premium Ultra Compact Protection Slim Lightweight Smart Shell Stand Cover Case for ASUS ZenPad Z170C 7" Tablet 2015 Release, PURPLE folded into standing position and gripped in my left hand. It does everything I require of it and I am patient. If I need something right now or I need to fire off an email at the same speed I can text, then I grab my phone. When I want to relax with the Comixology app or a book, I like a bigger screen even if it is lower resolution. Reading comics or novels doesn't require a lot of snappiness to the interface so the tablet's rather sluggish pace is rarely a bother. As I said, if you can get one on sale, do so. It's hard to find a less expensive tablet anywhere and ASUS makes good hardware. As of this writing, ASUS is still issuing security updates for this tablet, so even though you'll probably never see Oreo, you will at least have one less thing to worry about.

Awesome but camera is lacking
The ASUS ZenPad is a versatile tablet that strikes a good balance between performance and affordability. Here are some quick highlights:### Pros:- Display Quality: The ZenPad features a vibrant display with decent resolution, making it great for media consumption, reading, and browsing.- Performance: Equipped with a capable processor and ample RAM, it handles everyday tasks smoothly, including web browsing, streaming, and light gaming.- Design: The sleek and lightweight design makes it portable and easy to hold for extended periods.- Expandable Storage: The option for expandable storage via a microSD card is a significant plus for users needing extra space for apps and media.### Cons:- Camera Quality: The camera performance is average at best, which may not meet the expectations of those who prioritize photography.- Battery Life: While decent, battery life may not be as long-lasting as some competitors, depending on usage.### Conclusion:Overall, the ASUS ZenPad is a solid choice for those looking for an affordable tablet that offers good performance and a pleasant user experience. It’s particularly well-suited for casual users who want a reliable device for entertainment and light productivity.

Not a high end, but if you just want a consumer tablet, this is for you.
I was looking for a replacement for my now dead first generation kindle fire. A little upset because I bought it the week before the new fire came out, and now I'm thinking I want that too, but I'm not buying another one until this one dies. The hardware is fantastic, the software is a little unstable, but suitable for my needs. Don't expect this to be a high end tablet, it's strictly a tablet for those who want nothing more than something to read on and occasionally watch a video or two. The Web browser is slow, often crashes, even after switching to others. Still, fantastic product for the price point.Edit: I should say something about the Zen UI. I appreciated the lock screen, which is minimal and gives me all the information I needed. Third part bloatware that comes with tab claims to enhance charging. I didn't trust it, so I tested. With the app running it took 1hour 45 minutes to charge fully from 50%. After removing the app it took only 25 minutes to charge fully from 40%. Needless to say, I did not reinstall that app. The home screen leaves something to be desired, at least for me. There was simply not the kind of integration I've become accustomed to, so I switch to Google Now Launcher, but I feel that really is more of a personal preference.Edit edit: In all the time I've had the tab, I have not used the camera, so I cannot comment. I've never used the camera on my tabs.
