Golden ate the original remote!
Love the fact that I didn’t have to re-install the internal receiver…..had the same remote and our golden retriever snacked on the remote! Bad dog!! Literally took it out of the package and it worked with my fan!!!!

Dimming feature doesn't work.
Installed today with a new hunter fan. Works ok easy to install with clear instructions. The dimming function Does not work at all. You are supposed to hold the light button... to dim up or down. All I get is on or off. The instructions say there is a sensor for cfl bulbs that will turn off dim feature,. But I'm using dimmable LED bulbs so it should work.I tried with bulbs that came with fan as well as other dimmable bulbs. NO DIM.On a side note it'd be nice if remote lit up when used like many other hunter remotes. This one does not light when used.Really wanted dim feature but I'm not breaking down fan to install another remote.

Vague instructions
Bought this locally for far less to replace the one that came with my 8 year old Turn of the Century fan. Found the instructions a bit vague and confusing. Had Hunter on a 20 minute call back that turned out to be 2 1/2 hours and by then I had figured it out. They say to hook up to black (ungrounded) and white (grounded) from the ceiling but that is incorrect and confusing, it should read LIVE (hot) and NEUTRAL. AC circuits can be a little confusing anyway. Got it all together and could not get the lights to dim. Discovered on-line there should be a way to turn on the dimming function. So still waiting for Hunter CS to call, I tried the procedure in lower left corner of 2nd side of instruction sheet under CFL BULBS FLICKER (even though I have LED's). Turns out that is also the way to turn on the dimming function! Following that, the bulbs flashed twice, release the button and the fan runs on slow. You now have full control. Unit functions much better than my original and the flicker I had before with my LED bulbs at lower light settings is gone. Hunter finally called as I was cleaning up and I chastised them about their vague instructions. (They agreed and said they would correct that . . ;-))
