Perfect for a Pomodoro timer
I purchased this timer to use for my 25 minutes and 5 minutes Pomodoro tasks. I have a similar one from another vendor, but it's annoying as it ticks down then rings (like an old alarm clock). The secura one is silent and then just beeps at the end. You also have several settings for the beeps, long/short - loud or not. This is my new Pomodoro timer and I love it.

Great for quiet time, special time, bedtime routine, morning routine - we use it so much!
We love this timer. The parenting class I'm taking (Positive Parenting Solutions) recommends a timer like this and I must say we use it several times each day. It makes it so easy for my children (3 and 7) to see exactly how much time has passed. We use it for their daily quiet time, twice daily for special time and even for morning and evening routines. That way they know when the timer goes off, it's lights out. if they are quick brushing their teeth and getting their jammies on, then they get more time for books. That way I don't have to nag, the timer does the parenting.

Easy to modify to make silent.
Mine is an unusual case, but this alarm met my needs well. I wanted a silent timer to help my son keep his focus in his first-grade Montessori classroom. When the alarm arrived, I quickly ascertained that the alarm was too loud to avoid being a distraction. Fortunately, the alarm is easy to open up and a quick snip of the wires running to the speaker took care of my problem. Once I puzzled through how to get the red plastic that covers the dial back into place, it was easy to get the alarm back together, as well. Now it is a perfect way to keep the passage of time on my son's mind.

Great time management tool!
I purchased this timer for my elementary age daughter to help her know how much time is left before we have to leave for school in the morning. When I wake her up, I determine how many minutes she has to get ready and to be at the door. Once the timer beeps, she must be ready to head out the door. It is a great visual reminder without me having to constantly yell how many minutes are left until we leave.

Works as expected
We have autistic children that are need a visual timer in order to keep track and transition. This works perfectly for them and has cut down the difficulty in switching tasks tremendously!!

Pricey, kinda cheap looking, stopped working when immersed in water, but I'm buying it again.
Edit: Customer service was perfect. Upgrading from 3 to 5 stars. I did buy the second one by the way.First I want to say that I really liked this thing. Liked and not like because it took a dip in some water for literally one second and the product no longer works at all (it might dry out and work in a couple days but I'm not holding my breath). For almost $20 you kinda expect something that's a little bit beefier but even in the picture you can see that it is made from cheap plastic, so I shouldn't have been expecting it to be amazingly durable, and frankly the cheapie material and the kinda dinky color is part of its appeal to me -- I even got the baby blue color even though I think it's not the greatest color lol.. because I have this problem where if something this small is a normal color like white or black or grey I might just lose it and accidentally step on it when I need it. It's durable enough that if I drop the thing a few times I'm not expecting it to break like a smart phone. But it's cheap enough that I'm worried about sitting on it because I forgot I left it on my chair. But the good stuff: It does in fact work the way it is intended (mostly I was using it for Pomodorro study segments and for timing some of my physical rehab stretches that I need to do daily). It's very nice that all you have to do is wind the dial to where you want it and it will count down and the countdown is relatively accurate when you have to use different time increments (for me it's 25 minute reading increments, 1 minute to 3 minute to 6 minute to 4 minute to 10 minute for my rehab), so it's really convenient. It's not EXACT though like you would get with a numerical timer so this would not be good if you want say exactly 10 minutes and 30 seconds.. it would have a margin of error unless you're literally Rain Man so if you're cool with that, which I am, then that's what it is. You cannot time more than an hour, so it's only for short tasks and truth be told I don't use it for longer than 25 minutes so I've read other reviews that they had problems in the higher time range, and I cannot speak to that.. 1 hour is the limit so no 3 hour baking projects.. I really like the red wheel (even though again, it has this cheapie appeal -- maybe I grew up with the whole expensive cheap things you find at Urban Outfitters attitude where I appreciate things that seem like they're from a thrift shop). I like this as an alternative to carrying my phone around everywhere for the timing function so it adds a sort of romantic appeal as I switch to low-tech, less distracted living, a single-minded tool as opposed to the super computer that does everything better but has a tendency to trap you in the seductive abyss of endless scrolling..I have another timer that is not so good for Pomodorro because every time I have to change the time, I have to press the minute hand 25 times.. so I would almost need one timer specifically for 25 minute increments, and another one timer for 10, and one timer for all the others to not annoy me to death pressing the damn buttons all the time.. and God is the thing LOUD.. loud enough that I'd have no problem getting the turkey out of the oven even though I'm blasting music in my room across the house and you cannot adjust the damn volume, so no using it late at night without worrying if I'm going to wake up my folks.. But that timer cost me less than 10 bucks, it's much beefier, made from better casing materials, and it's more attractive and came with its own battery and it's numerical to the second so it's completely accurate and you can run a full 24 hours. Yet it isn't going to do the job for me for what I need it to do, so I'm going to stick it in my backpack or my car as a last resort when I forgot my other timer or watch (it triples as a clock and a stopwatch) which will be this one that I am repurchasing because I like it that much, despite the fact that the product itself is pretty average. :) One more thing: for small time increments like 1 minute, the timer doesn't always wind up properly so you sorta gotta set it for slightly longer than 1 minute and listen closely to it to see if you can hear any ticking. And a second one more thing: the loud setting isn't quite loud enough if I wanted to hear the thing from across the house (nor if I wanted to take a short nap and wake up to it) and the quiet setting seems just right, but it's too loud to use in a library and it will probably be obvious if you're timing yourself in a Starbucks, so I imagine people who are easily irritated might get annoyed.. or it might strike up conversation, who knows? In any case, despite this rambling review, I do like it enough to spend the damn 20 bucks to buy another one (and I'm shamelessly hoping a customer service person will reach out to me and send me a replacement so I can add an update to my review for amazing customer service!). Unfortunately I barely used this product for a couple weeks before I dropped it in water and broke it, so I'm not really sure if this product works well over a long period of time or how long the batteries will last in it in between refills.

Game Changer!
This timer has been a game changer for virtual school. My kindergartner was having a hard time getting back on to school when he had “work breaks” during our new virtual school environment. This clock allows him to easily track how much time is left before he needs to log back in. He also likes that he is in control of this aspect and doesn’t have to always rely on me. We also use the timer for how much time the kids have left to play before cleaning up, before bed, etc. I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs a little help with their children’s time management.Pro:Small, sleek designEasy for kids to useGives kids control over setting their timerAdjustable buzzerCons:Trying to get your kids to realize it’s not a toy 🤣

Great timer, doesn't work well now.
UPDATE: this is continuing to not work well and seems to be getting worse. We will probably need a new one from another brand to be able to continue to use it---and it has been very useful for all kinds of things! Very disappointed. After about a month of use, the timer now sticks at certain points as it's counting down, particularly when starting from times >30 minutes. We were initially very pleased with this timer as it is easy to use. The dial is adjusted easily, the beep is moderately loud, and the beep doesn't have to be turned off when it goes off. It's been useful for our kids to be able to visualize how time passes. We have been careful not to turn the dial past 55 minutes or play rough with it and are disappointed that it's not working as well.

〰 Has Volume Level Options 〰 Has Alarm Sound Duration Options 〰 Lacks Mute Option 〰
The media could not be loaded. I bought this No Ticking 60 minutes Visual Timer to help me during homework and study time for my 3 oldest boys who seem to have no concept of time at all when it comes to studying or reading for school or whatnot. I wanted a visual reference guide that would be easy for them to follow. The timer comes with simple instructions on how to set it up and use it. You need two AA batteries as they are not included in the box. Aside from a plastic lens that protects the red disk from damage, the timer doesn't provide any shock absorption feature if you were to drop it on the floor. The battery chamber is easy to access and snaps shut very easily as well. This is also where the alarm volume and alarm duration options are. These controls give you the options of either a 3 seconds or a 60 seconds alarm duration and a low or high volume alarm. No matter what setting you choose, your timer will count down the time. Simply put, it's just a question of how long and how loud it will ring when the time expires. This timer does not have a ''silent'' mode like some other brands have.To set a countdown on the timer, you need to turn the center knob clockwise till you reach the desired time. This will move the red disk into position. As the time expires, the red disk (aka remaining time) will start disappearing by moving in a counter-clockwise direction. When the red disk is gone, time is up. This timer does not tick like most clocks do. It will silently count down until it reached the end of the timer, and will then sound the alarm to let you know.We do own different brands of these types of timers, and so, here is how this timer differs from the ''Time Timer'', which is a more expensive timer brand that actually started this trend :1 - This timer does not have any shock protection features, whereas ''Time Timer'' has a silicone cover which adds shock protection.2 - This timer operates with 2AA batteries 〰 My ''Time Timer'' operates with 1 AA battery3 - This timer has a volume option (for a softer alert or a louder alert) but it lacks the ability to mute the alerts completely 〰 ''Time Timer'' only has the option of sounding an alert or muting the alert.4 - This timer offers the option of a 3 seconds sound alert or a 60 seconds sound alert 〰 ''Time Timer'' does NOT have the option to control the length of the audible alert.5 - This timer's audio alert control switches are in the battery chamber, so you need to remove the battery cover to access these settings 〰 ''Time Timer''s audio alert control is on the backside of the timer and is easily accessible. At the end of the day, the major difference between the two is that this timer has a very clear sounding alert even on the lowest setting and on the lowest alert duration. Time Timer can be used in absolute silence, by deactivating the alert completely. Both timers can be very practical to have depending on your exact needs. So, if you are working in a quiet office or are sharing work spaces with others, Time Timer could be your best option since it can operate without any disturbing sounds. Alternatively, if you work in a loud environment and need a high volume alert that lasts for more than a few seconds, this specific timer might be for you. (If you choose the longer alert and want to stop the alarm from beeping for the entire 60 seconds, it can be stopped by turning the knob clockwise (like you're adding time) and then turning the knob counter-clockwise all the way back to zero). Now that I have tried both systems, I can honestly say that I prefer Time Timer because of the silicone cover and the ''no alert sound'' option. Having said that however, this timer is much more affordable (at the time of my purchase, it was HALF the price of the ''Time Timer''). So it really depends on your needs. It's a great timer. It works well. It's very practical to have. Good purchase. Would recommend especially if you need louder alarms that can ring for up to 60 seconds. If my review was helpful let me know by clicking on the ''Helpful'' button :) 👍🏻

I love it shows how much time I have left to use.
I would like a larger division to use, between 3 and 60 alarm noises.

This thing is far from "silent". Just threw my in the bin.
A study timer must be silent. This thing is not. Annoying and literally can't concentrate. Rubbish.

Made my morning so much easier!
Each morning was a battle to get my 5 yo out the door to school on time while also getting my toddler and baby ready. This solved our problems! Now I just ask “how many minutes left on the timer?” and she runs to look and says “5 minutes! Oh no, I have to get dressed!” and runs to do it without being asked. I also use it for time outs, so she can see how long is left. And at the playground/play time when I say “5 more minutes” I can set the timer so she can see how long she has left to play. She finds it fun to check the timer and gets excited when it beeps, saying”the timer beeped! Time to go!” instead of fighting for more play time. The only down side is that it’s easy to set the time so she will sneak and change the timer, so I have to put it up high on a shelf while it’s on so she can’t reach it. But I highly recommend this timer for anyone with toddlers!
