I LOVE this mold! I used it with a set of silicon molds to create the cake in my pictures. The leaf border and the shorter looking succulents were made with this mold. I was able to use room temperature fondant with it but freezing it allowed me to cut off excess fondant without destroying the shape of the succulent. Only having one mold made for slow going work! I am purchasing two more of these for future use.I did not need to use the fern mold for this particular cake but I did make some to see how they turned out, BEAUTIFUL!!! Now I need an excuse to make them! They are so realistic it’s crazy!

Using for polymerclay
It took some practice to figure out how to use with polymer clay, but I love the detail of the fern leaves and succulents. I don't use fondant, but would definitely get another one for exclusive use with chocolate or food. They would be so cute on cupcakes.

Molds have pieces still in them that must be removed before using.
The molds are very pliable and appear well made. However, there are pieces sticking up higher than the edges of mold that shouldn’t be there. These must be carefully removed to obtain a workable piece. Ex, piece of silicone in center of leaf that sticks straight up. When removing you will have a spot on the leaf. Molds are very flexible for removal of your work, but durable enough to hold shape while drying. This may have been a rare issue. As with anything, there’s always possibility for defect.
