I looked at so many mantel clocks and finally decided on this one. It's perfect in every way. Perfect size, perfect design, perfect time. Love the different sounds to choose from. Right now we are enjoying the Christmas songs! Love it. It's absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend.

This is a sweet clock. Music is easy and beautiful. Chimes on the hour. You can set it any way you want it. At Christmas time, you can change it to your Christmas music. I have my clock on my mantel with candles by it and I totally love it! And, it’s a Bulova.Love it. Linda A

I have always enjoyed clocks that sound the hour but insisted on “real” chimes, whether bell, chime, or gong because of the poor “synthetic” quality of electronically generated chimes when they first became available several decades ago. Before purchase, I vetted the Buluva B 1680 very carefully and was surprised at how authentic its chime sounded. The “Harmonic II PLUS quartz chiming” produces a very realistic sound. I really don’t care about the corny tunes it plays but I am very happy with the Westminster or traditional striking sounds. The volume control offers a wide range of loudness settings and the night setting is great. Plus, it keeps great time and has a beautiful classic mantle clock design! If there was one feature I would add it is this: You can’t set it back an hour to adjust to standard time from Daylight Savings time; you have to crank the hands ahead 23 hours, stopping to let it chime every hour. That’s a bit of a pain but only needed once a year. I like the swinging pendulum although it does seem to go much faster than an old-fashioned mechanical pendulum; I'd prefer it a bit slower. All in all, though, I’m very pleased with my purchase.

It's very nice. I didn't get one for my retirement... maybe because I didn't retire yet. I don't want a clock. It would make me feel old just watching it. Tick tock tick tock tick tock

GOT IT TODAY, RETURNING. IT IS 9 PM BUT 12 CHIMESUPDATE: I assumed I bought a lemon, returned the old one and reordered a new one. Just got it today.It is currently 9 PM and the chime rang 3 times. When it was noon, the chime rang once, when it was 1 PM the chime range 12 times. This clock is a piece of garbage
