Citizen's Avion is a vintage-inspired timepiece reminiscent of transatlantic flights from the 1950's. Design cues taken from the golden age of travel include the rich brown leather strap with contrast stitching, luminous markers and classic date function. In a stainless steel case with black dial this timepiece now has the added 1/5th-second chronograph and 12/24-hour time features. Featuring our Eco-Drive technology – powered by light, any light. Never needs a battery. Caliber number B620. Since its foundation in 1930, CITIZEN has promoted a multi-cultural mindset that fosters excellence and creativity. The very name of the brand conveys a deep respect toward craftsmanship and considered as familiar by citizens the world-over. So as a “citizen” of the world, we bear the responsibility to help cultivate a culture of positive change and on-going evolution through our craft. We take that mission seriously and steadfastly welcome what the future may bring. As a true manufacture d’horlogerie, CITIZEN integrates a comprehensive manufacturing process from creating individual components to a watch’s final assembly. It’s an artisan’s approach to watch making based on pushing forward the boundaries of technology and leveraging our experience toward exploring new possibilities. One pivotal technological breakthrough was the development of a light-driven watch. CITIZEN pioneered this engineering innovation well ahead of other watch manufacturers as early as 1976, which led to the launch of the highly acclaimed Eco-Drive in 1995. Utilizing electrical power converted from virtually any light source, this extraordinary innovation changed forever the way watches could be powered. Eco-Drive eliminated the need to ever replace batteries, which made it especially beneficial to areas where such specialist batteries were not obtainable. This leveled the field for citizens of virtually every country to be able to experience unrestricted joy of wearing and using a CITIZEN watch. The product development policy, “The Fusion of Technology and Beauty,” remains a constant motivation for us to merge cutting-edge technology with perfection of design beauty, which as a consequence inspires people to strive to be their best at any time. CITIZEN launches a new campaign in collaboration with Wieden+Kennedy, Better Starts Now. This is the simple belief that no matter who you are or what you do, it is always possible to make something better — and now is the time to start doing it. We believe that better and now are both infinite, and that there is always a next ‘better’ and a new ‘now’ in which you can start pursuing it. It was clear from the onset of this project that we are dedicated to this ideal…not to the past but to the present, and all the way we can improve it. To help communicate this belief to the world we have created a new global CITIZEN brand movie, brand identity and brand website that represents out Better Starts Now philosophy.

Nothing Beats A Traditional Analog Watch
I recently just got back into wearing wrist watches not only for fashion, but to help prevent myself from always pulling out my phone to check the time (was a killer on my phone's battery). First off, I decided to try out a smartwatch: the Asus ZenWatch 3. Having an Android phone I decided to try out an Android smartwatch, and the Asus ZenWatch 3 was one of the cheapest, yet best looking (imo) smartwatch: not too big, not too small, good round form with a nicely manufactured body. Overall a pretty good first smartwatch purchase. Only gripe: the watchface were just too "digital" looking. Kind of reminded me of having one of those calculator watches from back in the day. The other issue I had with it was the charging - I had to charge it every night, and sometimes even 3/4 through my day. The smartwatch is now my secondary accessory. So I had to search for another option. One day walking through my local department store I started eying traditional wristwatches - Seiko, Invicta, Timex, Casio, Citizen, etc. All of these had some nice, clean looking faces. A couple of them even have pretty much lifetime power sources (automatic/kinetic, eco-drive, solar, etc). I didn't buy one at the store (because most of them were well over my budget just to tell time), so I went online to search.Citizen, Seiko, and Invicta were the three brands I searched for mostly, just because I preferred their style a little more than others I browsed. Then I stumbled upon this: Citizen Avion (CA4210-24E).Overall it's a fantastic watch that's very pleasing to look at. I had just forgotten how beautiful analog watches can be. Although there's no fancy jewels or gems, it's still very clean and easy to read. Stopwatch function is just an add-on for me, but the option of having it just gives a little more usability. So far it's been reliable at telling time accurately and the date. The watch only has luminous minute and hour hands, was hoping for numbers also but still very easy to read in pitch black after light storage.Only issue was the band that needed to be worked on before it was comfortable to wear: it's a tough, thick leather that basically felt like hard plastic the first couple of days but has formed nicely over time. The watch is also somewhat heavier than I'm used to, but I've also gotten used to that. So, all in all, you just can't beat the look and feel of a traditional analog watch.

Product does not look as-shown...IT'S BETTER!!!
I will first have it known that this is my first analogue watch purchase. My first impression upon receiving the watch is that it was more aesthetically pleasing than in the pictures. Though the stainless-steel case is reflective and bright, it does not have the silver-like appearance as shown in the primary picture; the video is a better depiction of the color. An aspect that truly stood out to me was that the watch face had depth. By that, I point out that in the product pictures, the main-face and the smaller sub-faces appear to be on the same plain; this is not the case. The sub-faces are slightly below the level of the main-face giving the watch its “depth”. In my opinion, this increases the appeal of the watch. The band is thick, very comfortable, and appears to be quality. I have a job that works outdoors; the watch will be exposed to four-seasons, sweat, and dirt. I will update the review if the band has substandard performance expectations (that are set pretty high at this point). The only con that I can see thus far is that the second band loop that is intended to secure excess band for wearers with smaller wrists is too loose causing the loop to slide during wear. I have an above average wrist size; the second strap is unnecessary and could be cut off without effecting the band performance however, I want to keep the OEM appearance.Overall, I am very pleased with the watch. In the future I will update the review.

Solar powered, sophisticated, stylish, timeless design...another winner for Citizen!
I loved this watch as soon as I opened the box. I’ve always liked Citizen Eco Drive watches for their sleek styling, high quality and affordable price. This watch is no exception. It is a large watch that attracts attention and compliments but it’s not gaudy or flashy. I was a little hesitant about the 45mm case being too big on my 7 inch wrist but it looks great. This watch features a timeless aviator design that is both sophisticated and stylish. The leather band is of surprisingly high quality for the price paid. Love the shade of brown with the contrast white stitching. Pair all that with the black face and this watch will go with just about any outfit. It’s an Eco Drive so that’s a huge plus. I almost never buy a watch that isn’t solar powered or mechanical. The Eco Drive battery had a charge and was ready to go out of the box.Very happy with the purchase. Another winner for Citizen!

GREAT LOOKS, FIT, AND PRICE!!
This is the first watch I've purchased in 25 years and I'm very happy with it. Looks good and fits nicely. I thought it might be a little heavy but turns out not to be. Main reason I purchase this Citizen watch was the Eco-Drive so I no longer have to worry about having a battery replaced every 18 months. I am very happy with the real leather band which looks great. Only down side is the date window between 4 and 5. It is very small and impossible for me to see even with glasses. Note: I did not ding the 5 stars for the small date window because of the great looks and feel of the watch. This Citizen Men's Eco Drive Stainless Steel watch was a "VERY GOOD" price, almost 1/2 the price of the other wrist watches I was eyeing.

Great watch!
I've been looking for a pilot/aviation inspired watch for awhile and decided on this one.The styling and aesthetics of this are very nice; representing the era well. The chronograph function effortlessly. Upper crown starts/pauses and lower crown resets. The small left dial marks each minute up to an hour. The 24Hr dial is a unique addition to the face for quickly identifying AM/PM. I was pleasantly surprised to discover this is solar powered; as I was thinking it was automatic. Never needing to wear to wind or change a battery again? I am eager to see how this goes. Watch began charging and was running instantly when I took it out of the box.My only complaint is the date marker is small and difficult to read. Still usable, but requiring you to adjust closeness and angle of watch to read.Watch strap is perfectly matched, but I have found I use the last hole to wear comfortably causing the strap to seem somewhat short. My wrist is eight inches though, so not a fault of manufacturer as I'm sure it is delivered to standard specs. Just keep in mind if you have a larger wrist.Overall, a beautiful watch with convenient & useful features for this price point.

Citizen eco drive CA4210-24E

Beautifulwatch. I wanted to have a
Beautiful watch.I wanted to have a watch that does not require battery changes. I trust this one will do that for me with the Ecodrive. The watch face is grey and light brown inner dial, contrasting the stitched brown strap well.I enjoy the nice large classic styled face with luminous hands. The case is not overly thick (approx 12 mm) or heavy (95 grams) for that matter. The leather strap is nice and sturdy and is breaking in well.I wear this watch almost daily and receive many compliments.Amazon shipping was fast
