Shout!: Little Poems that Roar Hardcover – February 1, 2007

I was SO excited to get this book in the mail to teach my kids (homeschool) about poetry and to have them in turn write their own poetry. This book is PERFECT for all those things. It is the sweetest, funniest little book of poems however my book arrived completely bent in half and with scratches all over the cover. I was so disappointed. I am returning because I want to have a nice copy to keep forever not one that is so beat up. It's unfortunate but if you're considering this book it is a MUST BUY!

This book was filled with great poems and vibrant illustrations. All my students enjoyed it. I would recommend this book to any primary school teacher.

These poems are funny and adorable. My 4 year old loves this book! Creative, different and humorous!

Should have done the 'look inside' first. I bought this hoping the poems would be catchy for toddlers. My girls love having me read to them but these poems are a bit lengthy/wordy so they lose interest pretty quickly. Otherwise, art work is good.

All ages will love this book of poems. I have met this author at a workshop and he likes for his poems to be acted out. So practice with your family, pick your favorites, and put on a show!

I bought this book first in paperback from daycare and we have had a blast reading it! It is designed for school-aged or slightly younger, but my almost 3 year old can recite the first poem already. I bought this one as a gift and will be buying more of them!

Wonderful poetry for children. Perfect for read aloud.

I loved the Bold lettering in some of the poems, and the format layout for some other poems. My favorite poems was The Library Cheer, because it was about, you guessed it books!. The illustrations were so colorful too
