Burnt out in less than 6 months
This has burnt out already, now know why the lower price compared to the name brand

They usually last 3 years ( 12,000 hrs ) - this one lasted under 6 mos. Too late to get replacement
Generally, these are really great bulbs. I usually get 3 to 5 seasons out of one. I always turn off the Aprilaire switch when the season is over so that the bulb isn’t on continuously for no reason.I only need the bulb to be on when the furnace is on. The furnace is on from December through April. That’s about 2900 hours. These bulbs are rated for 12,000 hoursI purchased this bulb in September 2020, but I already had a bulb that had about another season left through April 2021.I installed this new bulb in December 2021 and it was still going when I turned it off in April 2022.We had a cold snap in October 2022 so I had to turn the furnace on and the bulb did come on.I was just changing the filter today (Nov 2022) and I noticed the bulb head burnt out. I guess I got a dud- It happens.But these are great bulbs, I wish they had some kind of a warranty on them when they burn out earlier than they should but, they don’t so, I will buy another one. They do their job and they’re usually reliable. Nothing is perfect and that’s OK. Five stars for me!
