Functional and stylish
Comes with a battery installed. You don't need to wind, or replace the battery - it's already installed. Just remove the tiny plastic piece from around the stem (top of watch), gently pull up the stem and turn to set time.I received a lot of compliments on this cute little time piece. And it keeps accurate time. For the price point, it's lovely.

Love the look, the winding not so much, could use more contrast with hands
Yes, this model (the glass ball retro with the little bell looking pendant and tassel hanging below labeled as green concave convex) is a manual wind model (unlike the other options), even though it comes with a spare battery. I'm supposing they just throw in the spare battery for all the things, so I'll use the battery for something else. I can see from some of the other reviews that this has confused some people. Not sure if it just needs to get broken in, as it has gotten a bit better over time, but it doesn't seem to have much of a reserve for the winding, so it didn't run long before needing winding again when I first got it. Originally it was just a few hours, then after a few days it was about 12 hours, then more like 18hrs, which is acceptable to me (just wind it in morning and evening). I had to leave it behind on a trip for a few weeks, so perhaps now that I'll be able to use it again the winding will loosen up more to where winding once a day or less does the trick. It's really cool to see the gears and things through the domed globe. Not sure what is concave as it is sealed and the whole thing is a sphere (ball). The face looks nifty-retro too. Would be better if the hands were a lighter color though so there would be more contrast so you can read the time better at a glance. As it is, I can't really read the time on it in low light (and it does not have a light of its own). I was thinking if it opened up easily that I could replace the hands with lighter colored ones, or paint them or something, but haven't attempted that yet. I like how the domes magnify things and how the whole thing rotates around.I still like it a lot even though I can't use it as well in low light, so am more limited as to when I wear it. I'm hoping I can get the hands lighter somehow and then it will be great.

Broken
The media could not be loaded. This was really cute to ware but it just broke after a month. The little bell that is to keep the clock ballance, broke off randomly and same as the chain so I had to fix that buy adding a different metal piece.

Absolutely worthless - except maybe the chain!
This watch looks pretty but that's about it and only at first. I noticed that there was no plastic spacer to keep the stem up and therefore the battery disconnected. Because of that, the battery was just about dead when I opened the package. I checked with a battery tester and the needle barely moved from totally dead and that was a wobble! I was glad there was a spare battery.I opened the back fairly easily and with a little luck - popped the old battery out. I installed the new battery and it worked fine. However, I COULD NOT get the back on again! My husband and I both worked for over 30 minutes. We closed it up and put it aside to try later. At the later check - the watch had stopped!Extremely poor quality. I'm browsing for another watch. This is just not worth anything at all. If you can't get the back on, it's not even balanced for pretty!

Well-made time piece
I ordered a similar watch some time ago. I haven’t been able to find it for at least a year. This one is very similar. I love the roundness of the watch: it’s like a rock that you can rub to calm your nerves. Since this is my second watch I would say I love it.

Difficult to see time and didn't work
The fish eye shape of the watch makes it very difficult to see the time unless you adjust its position until you are seeing it at the exact correct angle. Unfortunately, that really wasn't an issue because it didn't work. The second hand moved, the minute hand didn't. I returned it but didn't get a replacement because of the difficulty seeing the hands.
