Netgear D1500 is a great product. I recommend it to all the customers who are looking for an entry level ADSL modem with an in-built WiFi router. Amazon also made the delivery 2 days in advance from the stipulated date of delivery.Pros:- Easy to setup. Netgear Genie helps in a hassle-free setup.- No CD's required for the setup, just connect your modem to the phone and PC and follow the instructions.- Light weight and relatively less wires as compared to other competitors.- No limitation of number of channels (devices connected to WiFi), more than 16 devices can be connected at the same time to the WiFi. This setting can be changed by using the Netgear Genie software. **But large number of devices means slower speed for everyone.- Technical support over the phone is great in case you face any problems. (More on this below)- No heating problems associated with the product, kept it on continuously no heating was observed.- Can be used in wired as well as wireless mode as well.- Up to 300Mbps transfer speed between the device and modem, this is pretty fast! (There are faster WiFi routers available but they are too expensive)CONS- Slightly expensive compared to other competitors in the same segment.- I am particularly wary about the service centers across the country as this is a relatively new company. I guess there aren't many service centers for Netgear in India, but will have to confirm this.- Initially I faced a problem with WiFi not getting detected by any of my devices but prompt reply from the customer support solved it instantly. (will explain more in detail)- Range is average. It is very suitable for a home of up to 2000-2500 sq. ft. For the best results install it somewhere in the middle of the house so that all areas get equal signal coverage.NOTE 1:-After the initial setup was completed by me, the WiFi was working fine. But later when I tried changing the default password through the Netgear Genie, it suddenly stopped working. I tried various methods of resetting but in vain. On contacting the customer support over the mail, they we're helpful but it didn't solve any of my problems. Thereafter I called up the Customer Support over the phone. I am not exaggerating, but it was one of the best customer support experiences ever. Their representative helped me patiently step by step. Thus my problem was solved. So even with this relatively new company it has a long way to go but have a great customer support.NOTE 2:-Hadn't it been for this initial of the hassle caused by the Wifi I would have definitely given the product 5 stars. But nevertheless 4 star is good. It's a value for money product, so I definitely recommend it.

Greetings everyone!I recently bought this router for use in Mumbai from Amazon India and was simply thrilled with what Netgear has come up with.This product is worth *every* penny. It is decently priced, has awesome performance (absolutely NO connection drops) and a fantastic wireless operating range. Netgear have indeed done their homework while designing this product.I configured this router myself using the advanced configuration options (without using the in-built Genie software, as I know a little bit about home networking) and it worked simply flawlessly on both an ADSL connection (MTNL Mumbai) as well as a cable-internet connection (popularly and commonly known as "cable-wale ka internet").Pros:1. Extremely simple and easy to set up - both for beginners as well as advanced users.2. Superb Wi-Fi coverage.3. No loss of Wi-Fi signal connectivity even over large areas and across walls.4. Provision to manually configure and select the Wi-Fi channel, or set it to "Auto" (I have left it to "Auto").6. Lightweight and compact design.5. Highly flexible and configurable features for operating speed, security, multimedia etc. (the details of which can be obtained from the product catalog and/or the in-built Genie software).Cons:The *only* limitation of this product is that:1. On an ADSL internet connection, only two LAN ports are available for physical connections.2. On a cable-internet connection, only one LAN port is available.However, given that everything is going wireless these days, I would not categorize these points as "limitations".NOTE #1:About all the negative reviews and feedback related to this product on this page/site:There is absolutely NO PROBLEM with the product itself. Got it For Rs. 1069/-Packaging: Average. OK.Content: Great. The device, ADSL splitter, power adopter, ethernet cable.Features: ADSL modem and router with 300MBPS theoretical speed.Practical review:Setup Is Extremely Easy: Works as expected. Setup was a breeze. Just select your country and your service provider. You don't have to enter any other things. It automatically fetches the settings and set your internet to work. Just provide the ID and password.Speed and WiFi Range: I feel my old TP-Link router/modem with single antenna was little stronger than this dual antenna. But still its range is acceptable at this price point. You cant go beyond 30 feets.Speed is ...., depend upon your ISP.Hardware: 1. The LED indicators are worst. You cant see them unless you go too close to the device. They are just not visible from any distance. Very very bad if you have any disconnection problem.Build quality: Excellent. The size is very small but the material is better quality.The Netgear Ginie app is not that useful.Overall, you can get it as a basic ADSL modem + a WiFi router for home use. Not too great but works just perfectly without any hastel. Go for it.

Preso in offerta a soli 19,00€ questo modem Netgear è ovviamente il modello più semplice della linea, ma per la mia linea ADSL 20 Mega Infostrada basta e avanza. L'ho preso in sostituzione ad un vecchio Sitecom N300 che ha iniziato a dare segnali di instabilità e rallentamenti dopo soli 5 anni (ed è costato più del doppio) e infatti ho notato che con questo Netgear ho ottenuto 2.40 Mbps in più in Download e 0,30 Mbps in più in Upload (tramite Speed Test), se non l'avessi acquistato non avrei mai saputo che stavo viaggiando ad una velocità inferiore.Nella confezione oltre al modem sono presenti anche il cavo per la linea telefonica, un cavo giallo ethernet e persino un filtro doppio per Adsl e telefono (che il mio vecchio Sitecom nemmeno aveva). La configurazione è davvero semplice e richiede pochi secondi, basta connettersi al modem tramite PC, immettere i primi dati (nazione, provider della linea ecc...) e poi Netgear Genie fa tutto da solo. Anche l'interfaccia di Genie è semplice, mostra lo stato della linea, la velocità e i dati più importanti. Andando sulle impostazioni avanzate è anche possibile personalizzare la propria connessione, ma a me andava bene già così com'era, quindi non mi ci sono concentrato molto. La connessione wireless ha una buona copertura per una casa di medie dimensioni. Non è perfetta, ma non mi lamento. Ha solo due porte Ethernet ma ci può stare. Le antenne sono esterne (come da foto) e non ho ancora ben capito se direzionandole verso il mio PC è meglio o peggio, per ora le ho sempre lasciate diritte e stanno bene così (sono comunque molto fragili quindi non mi sento sicuro a muoverle sempre). Comunque il wireless regge molto bene anche 5 dispositivi connessi contemporaneamente. Il design di questo Netgear è abbastanza elegante, un po' vistoso a causa delle antenne esterne ma niente di che. Sto usando il modem da circa un mese e per ora non si riscalda affatto, nemmeno lasciandolo accesso per giorni e notti consecutive.Qualità dei materiali forse un tantino scarsa. Il modem sembra fatto di aria, basta tirare un po' il cavo e vola via (e penso che se cade una volta è la fine). Insomma, gli avrei dato volentieri 5 stelle se la qualità costruttiva fosse stata migliore, ma non mi posso lamentare nemmeno più di tanto visto l'ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Vedremo quanto durerà, ma per ora mi sento di promuoverlo con 4 stelle.

Ottimo prodotto ed un giusto compromesso qualità-prezzo. Se ho comprato su Amazon è perché il prezzo su altri siti era più alto o uguale (Provare per credere). E comunque il servizio "reale" di reso di Amazon è unico per cui anche se costasse cinque euro di più varrebbe la pena spenderli.Per quanto riguarda il prodotto arrivato un giorno prima di quanto dichiarato da Amazon e l'imballaggio in perfette condizioni. Della logistica di Amazon apprezzo che anche piccoli prodotti viaggiano un pacchi grandi, questo permette di proteggere maggiormente il prodotto al suo interno.Il modem è stato scelto sia per il prezzo sia per le caratteristiche tecniche importanti per un modem router wifi entry level. L' estetica si presenta accattivante. Per intenderci non è assimilabile ad i classici ed inguardabili modem Telecom (Anche se gli ultimi sono migliorati). Anche in sala magari affianco ad un bel televisore fa la sua figura.Per quanto riguarda il segnale apprezzo la doppia antenna e sopratutto che siano esterne, in caso di rottura potrebbero essere sostituite con più facilità anche se il costo sicuramente sarebbe maggiore che comprarne uno nuovo.Il test è stato effettuato su una villa ad un piano con mura antiche "40/50 cm". Segnale eccellente anche all'esterno. Qualora si desiderasse un buon segnale anche a piani superiori si consiglia un amplificatore di segnale.Lo si trova a prezzi che oscillano dalle 15 alle 30 euro.Il menu di installazione e configurazione è semplice ed intuitivo. In generale sono contento del prodotto per uso domestico o piccolo studio. Per utilizzo aziendale sarebbero meglio prodotti di fascia Enterprise.Per quanto riguarda il brand, Netgear è famosa per questa tipologia di prodotti nonché anche NAS (sistemi di archiviazione). Modem wi.fi

Ho acquistato questo modem router per sostituire un TpLink di cui non ero pienamente soddisfatto. Il problema che avevo col vecchio moderm/router riguardava la Lan: a volte non mi faceva vedere i client della rete domestica (dischi condivisi, stampante condivisa e stampante di rete). A volte dovevo assicurarmi di avere tutti i dispositivi accesi e poi spegnere e riaccendere il modem. Allora funzionava. Credo fosse un problema al Server DHCP. Con questo Netgear invece mi pare di aver risolto egregiamente. Il modem router è piccolo e carino. Molto leggero (spero non troppo, per via della fragilità ...) e seguendo lo wizard l'ho configurato molto velocemente. Ho scelto Netgear perché, questa volta, volevo andare sul sicuro. Ho scelto Netgear perché il sito internet mi sembra ben fatto, ci sono tutte le informazioni sui prodotti e, spero, l'assistenza in caso di problemi sarà migliore che con altre marche (ad esempio ho avuto brutte esperienze con la DLink ...). L'unico neo di questo modem/router Netgear D1500 (motivo per cui ho dato 4 stelle invece di 5): mi aggancia la portante Adsl a valori un po' più bassi del vecchio modem. L'altro si agganciava a circa 19kbit/s, questo a 16k circa (3 Megabit in meno ...). Non che mi cambi molto, il mio problema era soprattutto avere la rete interna che funzionasse bene, con Costanza e Affidabilità. Ultima nota: ha solo 2 porte lan, e alcuni hanno criticato il prodotto per questo motivo .... Beh, io la ritengo una critica sciocca: dipende se le porte vi servono o meno, non è un male in assoluto (infatti inviterei le persone a controllare i propri modem router e vedere quante porte lan sono effettivamente occupate. Io direi che usiamo tutti, nel 95 % dei casi, il Wifi, e la porta lan la usiamo solo per la configurazione o, al massimo qualche stampante di rete che non ha il wifi). Quindi se la Netgear ha scelto di togliere 2 porte (poco utilizzate) e fare un prodotto un po' più economico ben venga. Insomma, sono soddisfatto di questo prodotto e sì, lo consiglierei. Avere un Netgear a 300 Mbits per meno di 30 euro è un'ottima cosa.

Ho Acquistato questo modem Netgear D1500 a 19,00€ sicuramente il modello più economico della Netgear.Questo modem è per la linea ADSL 20 Mega, insieme al modem nella confezione sono presenti, il cavo per la linea telefonica, un cavo giallo ethernet e un filtro doppio per Adsl e telefono.La configurazione è semplificata una volta connesso al PC basta inserire i vari dati come la nazione, provider ecc.L'interfaccia è amichevole e la connessione wireless ha un discreto segnale. Il dispositivo ha solo due porte LAN e le antenne esterne non sono svitabili.Il design di questo Netgear è abbastanza gradevole, la qualità costruttiva è più che sufficiente, forse un pò leggero ma visto il prezzo così economico è meglio non lamentarsi più di tanto.
