With this being one of my favorite games online, this physical set is incredible and very lightweight, which makes it easy to travel with! I absolutely recommend for someone looking for a neat, well-sized board game.

The board itself is very nice. The directions that come with it are very hard to follow. Had purchased this for someone that loves playing chess. For a first time learner, would recommend a smaller board and work your way up to this one. There are many videos online; however, they lost interest quickly with the instruction booklet. Still, a very nice board.

This medium size of this board makes it portable enough for travel as well as large enough for home play. The magnetic pieces are obviously essential when playing on a airplane or whatever, but I think they're nice for home play as well because it would be easy for pieces to slide around if you were playing on a slippery wooden board. Speaking of wooden boards - why are simple planks with some lines etched on them so incredibly expensive? This is a very nice alternative at a reasonable price.

I expected this to be cheap like travel chess sets but it is surprisingly sturdy. The magnets are strong enough to not be easily jostled out of place. The only con is that the scale of the stones makes them difficult to pick up, when captured, without moving the nearby stones.I am very happy with the board.

The game board and pieces are great, and if you know how to play, it's definitely well-recommended for a traveling set.However, the instructions are ridiculously vague and not written well at all. If you don't know the rules, you'll need to get your instructions online to learn the ropes.

I wish I knew why a handful of stones came separately in a plastic bag rather than inside the case. The product is, as advertised, smooth and functional, although smaller fingers do better in clasping the stones. The hinges are sturdy and the board lays flat after unfolding. Time will tell if it's built to last, and on inspection, I don't see why it wouldn't. It came with a minimally useful instruction book.

Are the magnets the strongest? No. Is the fit and finish on each and every one of them perfect? No. But the overall quality is very good for the price, and it's quite compact and effective as a travel board. Highly recommend. The stones store securely for travel and work well for playing.
