KitchenAid KST4054ER Stir Tower Accessory for Multi-Cooker, Empire Red

I have only used my stir tower accessory a few times but it has worked wonderfully! Just be sure to follow the product directions and the recipes as written. The first time I used it, it sort of baffled me how to use it and it did not seem to stir the soup well but then I did not read the directions carefully. I went back to the drawing board the second time and re-read everything and it worked like a charm. I hesitated ordering this but I am now glad that I did as it saves me time standing in the kitchen or running back to the stovetop every few minutes to stir something.

This is expensive, but I think I'll use it quite a bit. So far I've used it to scald milk for yogurt and to make chocolate pudding. I'm looking forward to using it for risotto and polenta as well as soups/stews. I looked a bit for the plug, then realized that the crockpot sits into a base and the stirring tower is powered by the crockpot when it's engaged in the base. It is a bit loud even on the low setting but that won't keep me from using it.

I love this attachment. Making a ruse for gravy or sauce is so easy. Love it.

This accessory to the KitchenAid "multi cooker" is great, functionally. It stirs tirelessly, scrapes enough to keep food from burning, and has enough adjustment to be useful.What's frustrating -- bad design -- is that it's very hard to clean. You can take the blades off and clean them easily, but if you're cooking food that splatters, like caramelizing onions, or even reducing liquids, then you get sticky dried food on the horizontal arm, which is permanently attached and has lots of little crevices where damp paper towels can't reach.

Like the stirring mixers used in commercial kitchens, only for home use.

I really like automatic stirring. It only fits with the Kitchen Aid Multicooker, or I would use it for everything I cook. It's definitely worth getting it to use with the Multicooker.

Absolutely love being able to cook "hands free". This really does get the bottom and the sides to keep things moving! Now I can focus on other things in the kitchen while this is stirring away!!!
