Magnificent masterpiece!
So I just bought this pencil along with the 0.5 mm. I'm not 100% sure why but I'm gravitating towards the .3 mm lately. So before I use the graph gear 1000 drafting mechanical pencil with the retractable nib. This was my go-to as far as everyday drawing. To me I liked the weight but until I got this mechanical pencil I realized that the graph gear 1000 is not balanced. This pencil is incredible. It's absolutely perfect for drawing, it is so well constructed with top grade materials. It has the perfect weight, balance. And even though I say balance, it's has a little more weight towards the business end of it but still feels well balanced in the hand. I've always loved Staedtler shading pencils. I've had them, their racers, their pencil sharpeners. They just put out a phenomenal product and this mechanical pencil follows suit. I'm including picture of my drawing because right after I got this mechanical pencil I started working on this picture from beginning to where it's at right now. I used this pencil along with "H" lead hardness. I love the way this is turning out so far. I've always used 0.5 mm pencils and the past and I may just store them away because I finally got a fantastic 0.3 mm pencil that I know is going to be my number one pencil. I can't say enough good things about this. With the price that it cost me, it's right in the middle of the road between one of the best drafting pencils out there and above the graph gear price. I truly think though that this pencil is worth every penny and they could possibly sell it for more because it's that great of a product.

The best led holder on the market-but don’t buy staedtler leds
The media could not be loaded. If you check out jetpens they do comprehensive testing and reviews on writing, sketch, and study tools. I found I prefer led holders for sketching and drawing as I dislike the smell of led pencils (I can’t explain it)Led holders I’ve used before were a bit too utilitarian for my taste, or too juvenile. I saw that this led holder had one best over all.I specifically wanted 2mm led holder: soft enough for shading, but never gets too dull, and sharp enough for fine details. Plus getting to change out the graphite grade and rarely ever getting led on your hand or fingers. This operates like a mechanical pencil but with a sleek design and high quality durable exterior, the window allows you rotate it to display the led grade.I don’t believe it has a sharpener which is the one pit-fall.The quality, to me, seems worth 3xs the price, even though the cost is slightly higher than your average led holder. The les is also firmly clasped in the holder, there’s no wiggle, unlike my other led holders.I’m overall satisfied-if this had an attached, long-point sharpener that collected led dust it would be supreme.WORD OF ADVICE! though, I despise the led quality of staedtler. I use uni Mitsubishi brand leds for its superb quality and performance.(And you can find more comprehensive guides to other high quality leds on jetpens)

Greatest pencil I've ever used.
Very well made. The weight and balance is very pleasing. The metal casing is very high quality. It feels amazing to write/sketch with. Honestly, well worth the price. I ordered a second one of all three sizes for a different pencil hardness lol. My only gripe is that there's no 0.7mm or 0.9mm in the matte black, but it's not a very legitimate one lol - 0.3mm, 0.5mm, and 2mm honestly covers most of the ground for me.

A great purchase
It’s sleek, durable, and has a good weight to it. It all ready comes with pre-sharpen lead which is a plus. I love the black coloring and is probably the best 2mm you will find.

Solid pencil
Amazing pencil with good build quality. After a couple drops pencil top can become loose but can be fixed with pliers and light pressure. Great weight, thickness, and knurled grip.
