Used it to close gaps under and around door frames on the backyard tool shed. We used Gorrilla glue to stick material permanently to the wood frame. It is maleable and easy to change the shape according to the hole you're blocking. Since it's a sponge of metal and is irritable to the skin, my guess it that small crawling animals will be unwilling to chew or force their way through the spongy metal. Perfect block. After a couple of weeks, we noticed rust on the exposed surface of the spongy metal.

I cut double length and folded it to lay down in the low parts of my Honda J35 intake manifold, then sprinkled peppermint oil on top of it , then put the engine cover back on. This is to keep rodents from hanging out under the cover. So far so good. Will try to do an update in a month.Product is not as "thick" as it looks in the photos but it's just a matter of how many layer you use. I'm excited about it being stainless. In past (years ago) had some of the "buns" of steel wool but were not stainless and they rusted.

Quick pro tip, use this if you have cracks between trim and the floor/wall or cracks around piping. Roaches and many other pest cannot go through it. I barely see any bugs after filling the gaps around my apartment.
