Convenient for hanging a swing inside without making holes
We use this on my daughter's door to hold a swing so she can swing inside the house. It takes roughly 1 minute to take down or put up. Probably 20 minutes to assemble for the first time. Door cannot be shut with it installed (probably common sense), which can be annoying if you don't want to take the time to remove the whole assembly. Stays up well, she swings pretty hard/high on it and it has not fallen off the doorframe yet.

Good Quality
Fantastic quality! I honestly didn’t expect this to be as good as it is especially for the money. I tested it swinging with its max rated weight and did great. So much easier than installing a fixed hard point in the ceiling. Very stable, If it holds an adult I’d be very confident putting a child on it. One important warning is anytime you’re working with plastic and metal together, be very careful not to over tighten. Snug is good.

Not safe.
Very dangerous it felt on my head.

My Grandson Loves It! Hopefully he will spend less time on his phone and more time working out!

Sturdy, but seems a bit unpolished for the price.
I was considering this product many years ago, when it had a previous name, but bought a different pull-up bar that was half the price, but didn't have the doorframe locks.First I would say that the doorframe locks are solid. They're designed with easy grip screws, and it's very easy to tighten/loosen them. This is much more solid than the ones without the locks, which makes sense for using this as a kid's doorway swing. You're mostly paying for the lock mechanism. For the price though, I was expecting that this product would be the best in class, overall, it feels like the designers just stopped at passable, it doesn't feel like a premium product.- the vertical bars are very long, and the bar hangs a foot below the doorframe, so even if you're average height, you'll probably bump your head if you leave it installed. The other bar I had hung much higher, which was also much more comfortable to use. It also makes this one bulkier to store.- as well as the locks work, each one takes up about a fist's width on the actual bar. For me it means you can't grip the bar at a comfortable wide width, but limited to grips that's pretty much just at shoulder width.- it comes as a bunch of bars shipped in a largish, pretty plain box, one of the other gym bars I had purchased in the past came flat packed in a much flatter box, with a cardboard frame that held pieces in place (though the screws came packaged in a plastic clamshell)- the assembly instructions had errors, the different screws are numbered, and the first set of screws it tells you to use are the wrong ones, so you have to figure out which ones you really should use.- the instructions just don't work in some cases - they tell you to put two washers on a screw, but the screw's just not long enough to fit the two washers on.- you would think it shouldn't be too hard to assemble a few pieces of metal pipe with screws, but it takes much longer than you'd expect. While sturdy, reasonably good for swings, it's not so good for pullups because of the limited width and low hanging height.

Sturdy
We only installed it over our daughter's door frame recently. She's 10 and very active. She enjoys swinging from the bars and doing pull ups, etc. Our older son uses it, too. It appears very sturdy and well designed. We have the hammock type swing for it as well that our daughter likes to use. Over all a very useful buy.A video link for assembling it is available and is helpful but don't rely on it as it goes too quickly and isn't detailed enough. The assembly is easy but make sure to stick to the instruction book throughout.

Sturdy, reliable construction, although annoying to assemble
Pro's:The pull up bar has appeared sturdy and firm, and gives you the basic room to perform your key exercises. I would think this could safely hold larger-sized men.The sturdiness and certification translate into offering unique capabilities, especially with their add-on products that enable you to perform a wider range of pull up motions, and use for kids' swings.Cons:It was annoying to assemble -- the instructions should be clarified -- and it is moderately more time-consuming than other bars to put up and pull down each time we are using it. (You cannot close the door when it is installed.)The add-ons from Gym1 are not easy to buy separately, and the add-ons are what make this pull up bar worth the premium.Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, and look forward to finding add-ons. If I was doing it again I would've purchased a pull up bar that enabled me to open and close the door, given the various pros and cons. It's not enough of a negative to change after the fact, though.
